The pathogen of pullorum disease(PD)is Salmonella pullorum, which is a major hazard to chicks aged 10 to 20 days. The incidence of this disease is high and often results in large-scale mortality. In the chick stage, good health care measures will be taken. After the late period, the incidence of chickens will be less, the feeding and management will be relatively smooth, and the economic benefits will increase significantly. At present,in addition to quarantine purification, the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics as chick opening drugs is now commonly used preventive measures, but the use of antibiotics as open-ended drugs have two drawbacks,on the one hand will lead to poor balance of the intestinal flora of the chicks,on the other hand,it is easy to damage the liver and kidneys of chickens and cause immunosuppression.Poultry still has susceptibility after the end of medication and can still be reinfected under normal circumstances, resulting in frequent late-stage diseases.Traditional Chinese medicine has the characteristics of low toxicity, low residue, low toxicity and side effects, etc. In order to promote the long-term development of animal husbandry and ensure the quality of animal products, the development of natural Chinese herbal medicines that can safely replace antibiotics has become an urgent need for animal husbandry. This paper studies the control effect of purslane fermented material on artificially infected salmonella. At the same time, the effects of purslane fermentation on liver, kidney, immunity and intestinal microflora of broilers were further studied, which provided references for the use of purslane fermented material as a new type of green medicine in poultry industry. In order to observe the prevention and treatment effects of purslane fermented material on the chicken's white fleas, this experiment set the high, medium and low dose groups of fermented purslane, the high, medium and low dose groups of non-fermented purslane, florfenicol and positive and negative control groups, each group of 20 chicks, were tested for the incidence, death and cure of chicks after artificial infection of chicks. It was found that the 4 mL/L purslane fermented material and florfenicol had similar preventive and therapeutic effects on the pullorum disease(P>0.05).Compared with the positive control group,Significantly inhibited broiler morbidity and mortality in prevention trials(P<0.05);Significantly improved cure rate(P<0.05)and reduced chick mortality in treatment trials(P<0.05).It shows that 4mL/L purslane ferment has obvious control effect on the disease. In order to evaluate the safety and immunity of purslane fermented material to broilers,60 healthy 1-day-old chicks were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups of 20 in each group. The first group recommended 4 ml/L purslane fermented drinks from 1 day of age according to the results of the prevention trials of purslane fermented material on white flies of chicks;the second group was continuously treated with 0.15 g/kg florfenicol from 1 day of age drinking water(Instruction dose),once a day;Group 3 drinking fresh tap water throughout. The levels of ALT,AST,BUN,CRE,IgA,IgG and IL-2 in each group of chickens were measured at the heart of 7d and 14 d respectively, and the index of immune organs in each group was determined. The results showed that: ALT,AST,BUN,CRE indicators measured in the purslane fermentation group were not abnormal(P>0.05),significantly increased IgG and IL-2 levels(P<0.05),significantly increased the broiler thymus index and bursa of Fabricius index(P<0.05);florfenicol group significantly increased BUN,CRE levels in broilers(P<0.05),significantly reduced IgG,IL-2 levels(P<0.05),significantly reduced thymus index and bursa index(P<0.05).In order to evaluate the effect of Portulaca oleracea fermentation on the intestinal microflora of broilers,90 healthy 1-day-old chicks were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups,30 in each group. At 7d,14 d,21d,the cecum microflora in each group were determined. The results showed that the purslane fermentation group significantly reduced the number of Salmonella in the cecum of broilers(P<0.05),and significantly increased the number of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria(P<0.05),florfenicol group also significantly reduced the number of Salmonella(P<0.05),but also significantly reduced the number of lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria(P<0.05).Conclusion: The 4mL/L purslane fermented material has obvious prevention and cure effect on the pullorum disease and can be used as a new green medicine in the poultry industry instead of florfenicol.
