Study On The Application Of MRI In Small Canine And Cat Nervous System Diseases

Objective:MRI scanning is used to diagnose the neurology diseases of small clinical dogs and cats.It can combine the neurology examination of a sick animal and the clinical symptoms of a sick animal.The application value of Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)in the systematic diagnosis of neurology diseases in small dogs and cats.Materials and methods:A retrospective analysis of the cases caused by the disease of the nervous system was reviewed in the case of the medical diagnosis of the CHONG YI SHENG Central Hospital of Shenyang.According to the performance and characteristics of the clinical symptoms,routine examination of nervous system(It includes overall observation,mental state,consciousness level behavior,posture and overall coordination,gait assessment,postural response assessment,cerebral nerve reflex,spinal segmental reflex,membrane reflex,facial nerve examination and so on).In combination with its clinical symptoms,a number of experienced doctors are invited to discuss the disease,to get the cause of the disease or to diagnose the disease or to give the direction of suspicion.Then the animals were anesthetized and intubated.Magnetic Resonance imaging was followed by the suspected parts of the sick animal.Then according to the results of magnetic resonance imaging(T1W imaging and T2 W imaging),although analyzed the signal characteristics,blood supply,and compared with normal animals and MRI.Find out the difference.Subsequently,combined with clinical manifestations,symptoms and neurological examination of animals,discussed the application value of magnetic resonance imaging in nervous system diseases of small dogs and cats.Conclusion:The 80 cases of hospital visits were analyzed retrospectively,and the results of MRI images were compared with the results of normal canine MRI images.The results showed that the MRI images of small dogs and cats with nervous system symptoms could find their signal characteristics different from those of normal images.And a definite diagnosis can be given in combination with the neurologic examination,the clinical symptoms and the characteristics of the animal disease.Through this study,it is found that MRI can be used as a diagnostic basis for diagnosis of nervous system diseases in dogs and cats.
