Study the rational method,optimal period and optimum concentration of selenium application in Nongda 8 and Nongda 10 to popularization and application of these two varieties provide the corresponding basis for applying selenium fertilizer.Four different ways of selenium application are set up in this experiment that is foliage spraying selenium(T1-T4),seleniferous seed(B1-B4),basal application of selenium(J1-J4)and selenium during jointing(Z1-Z4).Each application of selenium has formulated a corresponding application of selenium concentration.Randomized block test,the following conclusions were obtained by measuring the agronomic traits,photosynthetic characteristics,fluorescence parameters and yield of Nongda 8 and Nongda 10:1.Different concentrations of sodium selenite were sprayed on the foliage at the jointing,heading and filling stages.The output of Nongda 8 and Nongda 10 reached their maximum under the treatment of T3(67.84g·hm-2).After determining the optimal concentration of selenium,under the treatment of T3 concentration,both Nongda 8 and Nongda 10 sprayed selenium at the heading stage to maximize the yield2.In the case of selenium in seed dressing,the yield of the two cultivars reaches the maximum under the treatment of B2(0.1%).The application of selenium at the low concentration can promote the increase of millet yield.However,the application of selenium at high concentration of seed dressing will inhibit the yield of millet.3.Under the application of base fertilizer selenium,the output of Nongda 8 and Nongda 10 reached the maximum under the treatment of J3(150kg · hm-2).4.Under the application of selenium fertilizer,the yields of the two varieties reached the maximum at the concentration of Z4(225kg·hm-2).5.Comparison of four selenium methods,under the selenium fertilizer application method,the output of Nongda 8 and Nongda 10 reached the maximum.
