Millet is one of the main food crops in the north of China.It has the reputation of being the first of cereals,and it is a crop that has both food and feed and has medicinal value.As one of the important material bases for millet breeding research,evaluation,identification and innovative research of millet germplasm resources have become increasingly important.This paper investigated and analyzed the important agronomic traits of 218 millet germplasm resources from different regions,including plant height,ear length,leaf area,ear number,single ear weight,single ear grain weight,1000-grain weight,and net photosynthetic rate.The differences in major agronomic traits and yield indexes between different cultivars were compared;at the same time,the correlation between major agronomic traits was analyzed,and the external appearance and variation of different types of millet agronomic traits were identified through analysis.The millet cultivars with excellent comprehensive traits or prominent single traits provide excellent parents for the breeding of new cultivars and provide basic materials for carrying out relevant research.Through field measurement and indoor test of traits of millet,the identification results are as follows:1.Through this appraisal test,identify and analyze the main agronomic traits of 218 millet germplasm resources from different countries and regions,and integrate the coefficient of variation of all the agronomic traits of the millet above.The order from small to large is:Thousand-grain weight<number of spikes<plant height<leaf area<head length<head weight<seed weight per spike.From this analysis,we can see that the coefficient of variation of 1000-grain weight is the smallest,indicating that the variation of 1000-grain weight is the smallest,and 1000-grain weight is less affected by other conditions;the variation coefficient of single-grain weight is the largest,indicating that the variation of single-grain weight is the largest among all indicators.It is also affected by other conditions.2.From the perspective of the specific germplasm resources that have been screened,the single superior traits of the local varieties are strong,which indicates that in the future,the millet breeding should take advantage of the excellent variation of the local varieties to cultivate high-quality,high-yield varieties.For millet introduction,promotion of new varieties and variety breeding has a certain guiding significance.3.Through the analysis of agronomic traits correlation analysis,it was clarified that the correlation between single panicle weight and single ear panicle weight was the largest,and the correlation between plant height and panicle yardage was significant,while other morphological indicators were extremely significant,so the selection of breeding targets It is necessary to pay attention to the specific selection of individual traits.Plant height,panicle length,1000-grain weight,grain weight per panicle,and panicle weight are the direct indicators,and selection for lodging resistance and disease resistance is assisted to obtain good varieties with stable characters.4.After the research and appraisal,there were 29 species of large ear resources,33 species of large grain resources,18 species of lodging-resistant high stalk resources,and other materials with outstanding properties.
