The peach fruit borer,Carposina sasakii Matsmura(Lepidoptera:Carposinidae),can seriously damage apple, pear, peach, jujube, apricot and other economic fruits and affect the development of fruit industry in China. It has been to most provinces in China except Tibet,Hainan and Xinjiang.Due to the modification of agricultural industry, fruit tree planting area obviously increased and orchard structure changed as well In recent years, the occurrence regularity of C.sasakii are also changed and damage may increase year by year. The population of C.sasakii is not uniform naturally. In order to provide enough materials in scientific research, laboratorial rearing methods of C.sasakii have to optimize. In the present study, the effects of 5 different egg densities and 4? treatment on its eggs were conducted for laying a foundation for mass rearing of C.sasakii in a laboratory condition. The main results are as follows(1)The effect of the egg density of 5 was the best one.Survival rate and oviposition of C.sasakii on egg density of 5 was all the highest, and the generations time was the longest. The egg density of 10 and the egg density of 20 followed by,and the egg density of 40 was the worst. So,the egg density is an important factor in laboratorial rearing C.sasakii(2)There is no significant difference between egg density of 10 and egg density of 20.So,we,can choice egg density of 20 to main population in laboratory according to the purpose of rearing.(3)There is no significant difference on pupal period, male adult longevity and egg duration of refrigeration. Each stage of cold 7d duration and survival rate compared with the normal situation there is no difference, but the rate of emergence, fecundity and hatching rate decreased,so consider the C.sasakii refrigerated 7 d is appropriate.Eggs are not easy to store for a long period of time, the eggs have no ability to hatch after 28 days refrigeration.
