In this paper,the effects of water content and additives on the nutritional value,fermentation quality and rumen degradation characteristics of hybrid paper mulberry silage were investigated to determine the suitable silage water content and additives for the whole hybrid paper mulberry silage,and to provide a theoretical basis for the feed utilization of hybrid paper mulberry.The water content in hybrid paper mulberry was 68.67%,60.27% and 45.54%,respectively.The hybrid paper mulberry of different water content was ensilaged with four additives for 60 d.The additives were 3% molasses,4% corn flour,0.1% laccase,and 0.5% sodium diacetate respectively.The nutritional value,fermentation quality and rumen degradation rate of hybrid paper mulberry silage were determined.The results showed:(1)The interaction between water content and additives significantly affected the contents of CP,NDF,EE and WSC in the silage of hybrid paper mulberry trees(P<0.05).The interaction between water content and additives had a significant effect on the PA content in the hybrid mulberry silage(P<0.05);the p H value,NH3-N,LA and AA content were significantly affected(P<0.01).The interaction between water content and additives significantly affected the rumen degradation rate of CP and ADF in hybrid paper mulberry silage(P<0.05);it had a significant effect on the rumen degradation rate of NDF(P<0.01);(2)The results showed that the water content had a significant effect on the nutritional value of hybrid paper mulberry silage(P<0.05).Compared with the water content of 68.67% and 45.54%,WSC was significantly improved at 60.27% water content(P<0.05),and ADF and NDF were significant decreased(P<0.05).The quality of the hybrid paper mulberry silage with a water content of 60% is superior.(3)Different additives could significantly improve the fermentation quality of hybrid paper mulberry silage(P<0.05).When adding molasses,sodium diacetate and corn flour,the p H value significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the WSC and LA significantly increased(P<0.05).The effect of molasses was the most significant.The addition of laccase significantly decreased ADF and NDF(P<0.05).Therefore,the fermentation quality of adding 3% molasses is superior.(4)Different additives significantly affected the rumen degradation characteristics of hybrid paper mulberry silage(P<0.05).The addition of molasses significantly improved the rumen degradation rate of CP and NDF(P<0.05).The addition of corn flour significantly increased the rumen degradation rate of ADF and NDF(P<0.05),the addition of sodium diacetate significantly increased the rumen degradation rate of CP(P<0.05),and the addition of laccase significantly increased the rumen degradation rate of ADF(P<0.05).The hybrid paper mulberry is suitable for ensilage with 3% molasses at 60% water content.
