Discussion On Plant Culture Analysis And Application Mode Of Shanxi Merchants Compound

In recent years,the construction of beautiful countryside and the protection of ancient villages have become an important form of practice in the construction of ecological civilization in China,and remarkable achievements have been made.However,blind plagiarism,landscape homogeneity,and lack of recognizability also occur during the construction process,resulting in the lack of cultural heritage and local characteristics of landscape construction,losing its original cultural differences and geographically recognizable characteristics,which is not conducive to sustainable development of ecological civilization.Therefore,giving the regional and cultural characteristics of the landscape has become an inevitable trend in the development of ecological construction.In view of these problems,this paper takes Shanxi merchants compound as the research object,comprehensively analyzing its integration with local customs and historical humanities,concreting the regional cultural connotation of traditional garden landscape in Jinzhong area,studying the selection and application mode of plant species in different space and regional landscape,and provides a reference for creating ancient village landscape with local and contemporary characteristics.In this paper,field investigation,literature review and statistical analysis were used to study the plant species and their life-style and ornamental characteristics in the paintings,brick and stone carvings and couplet tablets of Shanxi merchants compound.The application characteristics and cultural implications of traditional garden plants in Shanxi merchants compound were analyzed by investigating the collocation between plants and plants as well as the combination forms between plants and other patterns.The results showed that 59 species of plants were used in the compound,including 22 species of trees,11 species of shrubs,22 species of herbs,3 species of vines and bamboo.The order of application frequency higher than 5.0% was Lotus(12.6%),Pine(10.2%),Peony(9.3%),Plum(9.3%),Bamboo(8.3%),Chrysanthemum(8.1%),Orchid(6.6%)and Peach(5.3%).The results showed that the most frequently used plants were foliage-viewing plants,which accounted for 81.3% of the total number of plants,and then were posture-viewing plants,flower-viewing plants and fruit-viewing plants.Based on the study of plant culture in shanxi merchants compound,combined with the extracted plant culture elements and application modes,and according to the ecological habits of plants,the selection and application modes of plant species in three different types of space,namely,open space,semi-open space and enclosed space were put forward,which provided the basis for the plant application in the protection of ancient villages and the restoration of ancient buildings in Jinzhong area.Based on the study of plant culture and the discussion of plant application mode,the ancient village of Wenjiazhuang was taken as an example to construct landscape.By analyzing the regional status quo,traffic conditions and landscape resources of the project,excavating the local ancient village culture,shanxi merchant culture and tea-horse ancient road culture,plant allocation of the four spaces of the region,such as roads,courtyards,leisure and entertainment space and historical relics,was to create the ancient village landscape with cultural and landscape characteristics,they provided new ideas for the construction of Shanxi’s characteristic landscape.
