The Liujiazhuang site is an important site in Shandong Province of Shang dynasty,it can be roughly dated to late Shang,it proves the long history of Jinan and the city's improtant position of Shang dynasty along with Daxinzhuang site and Xiaotun site.The relics and remains can provide lots of useful information to social life and culture in Shandong of Shang dynasty.This paper uses the faunal remains as targets to study living economy and burial custom,and try to restore meat structure and livestock feeding method.This paper can be divided into five parts.Chapter 1:The introduction.Briefly introduce the site,review some theories and research findings of this site and zooarchologyChapter 2:The faunal remains of ash pit in site.Set out mammal remains by scientific classification.Liujiazhuang site of Shang dynasty has pigs,cattle,sheep,dogs,deer and horses which can be found at other site of Shang dynasty,and freshwater mussel.In NISP,dogs have the most amout,then pigs,cattle,sheep,deer and horses;in MNI,pigs have the most amout,then dogs,cattle,sheep,deer and horses.Chapter 3:The animal living economy of Liujiazhuang site.First,use age structure and meat structure to analyze the situation of livestock feeding,restore living economy.Then compare Liujiazhuang site with Daxinzhuang site and Yin Dynasty ruins.Livestock is dominant in meat structure,pigs are the most important meat,the second are cattle,these two animals occupy more than 90%,other animals support little meat.The meat structure is similar to Daxinzhuang site,compared with Yin Dynasty ruins,the percentage of pigs is higher and percentage of cattle is lower,it may be Yin Dynasty ruis has a higher position than Liujiazhuang site.Chapter 4:The study of animal burial custom of Liujiazhuang site.Firsty,analyze if the burial custom is similar to the general feature of Shang dynasty.Then analyze the C13 and N15 final result of dogs in tombs.The animal burial custom of Liujiazhuang site is roughly similar to the general features of Shang dynasty,but because of the shortage of quantity,there is not a conclusion of some exceptions.C13 and N15 result of dogs confirms dogs are omnivore,the food manily is C4 plant and some animals which eat C4 plant,and also some legume plant,none of the dogs are exceptionalChapter 5:Conclusion.Summarize the paper and piont out the limitations.
