The development of Internet of things technology has provided strong support for the realization of intelligent agriculture.In intelligent agriculture,it is an important measure to apply various sensors to effectively monitor and control the agricultural growth environment and construct the optimal environment for crop growth with technical means so as to further promote the development of agriculture.The advancement and advantages of intelligent agriculture are mainly reflected in the following aspects: combining the sensor technology,automatic control technology,network technology and farm infrastructure so that the farmers can get production information of farm through application terminal,discover and foresee problems in agricultural production timely with the result of achieving the goal of managing crop production process scientifically,improving agricultural production efficiency and making the farm operation more efficient.This design studies the information collection and transmission ways with wireless sensor network as the main body,selects ZigBee technology as the underlying communication technology and develops the terminal control system with the result of realizing the intelligent management of agricultural process.The whole system is composed of three layers: the bottom layer is designed for the information collection of wireless sensor network and utilizes ZigBee technology to build the star-form data collection network.Each ZigBee node is connected with multiple sensors for real-time data collection and the main sensors include temperature and humidity sensor,light intensity sensor,soil humidity sensor,etc..Meanwhile,a variety of actuators are connected to the nodes,mainly including relays,water pumps,fans,stepper motors,etc..The middle layer is for communication which is composed of a server with Wifi function.The topmost is the application layer.This system adopts PC control mode with friendly interface and rich functions,which can effectively realize the observation of underlying data and the control of underlying actuator.The system features two advantages: a.it uses the multi-hop self-organizing ability of ZigBee to form an effective self-organizing network so that the position of sensors may be set and changed flexibly;b.the whole system design is based on the principles of low power consumption,which effectively improves the energy saving of system.This paper introduces the planning and structure design process of whole monitoring system,and analyses the design and development process of hardware,database,underlying ZigBee protocol stack,server-side program and client-side program applied in the system.After a month of operation test,the system runs steadily and well.The data collected by sensor nodes are accurate and reliable.And the whole system meets the design requirements.
