Standing breast diameter is an important basis for assessing the growth status of forest trees.This paper integrates laser technology based on machine vision to achieve automatic detection of standing breast diameter.Take 10cm-40cm standing wood as the research object,and use a vernier caliper with a division value of 0.02mm as a control study.Establish a wood image acquisition system,select the appropriate device model,use the Gamma method to eliminate the effects of light,and locate the target area after binarization and median filtering.From the slope of the two points,an improved normalized segmentation algorithm was proposed.According to the change of gray values,the segmented images were identified in the specific direction.The least squares method was used to obtain the straight-line DBH.Calculated.On the GUI platform of MATLAB,the establishment of the interface of the vertical breast diameter detection system is implemented,and the various situations that may occur in the natural environment are analyzed,including the conditions of standing trees,standing trees,and overlapping of standing trees of different tree species and sizes.In this experiment,the average false positive rate of standing chest diameter values in all cases was less than 1.5%,which satisfied the requirements of precision forestry.
