Research On Water Productivity Of Maize And Its Influencing Factors

Food security related to the national economy and the stability of the whole society.Adequate water resources are the basis of food security.The shortage of water and the intensification of the competition between industries and daily life gradually squeezed the space of agricultural water.At the same time,the shortage of agricultural water has become an important factor restricting the sustainable development of agricultural economy.Under this background,this paper studies the water productivity of Maize and its influencing factors in Huaxian,Henan province,in order to improve the water productivity of Maize in plain irrigation.From the following aspects Introduce Crop water productivity:the definition of the concept of crop water productivity,how to research crop water productivity,the influence factors of crop water productivity,how to improvement crop water productivity,and so on.there are many literatures about water productivity,water productivity are studied from the perspective of agronomic crop water productivity,but there is little literature about how to improve farmers' Water productivity from the perspective of farmland management.This paper will study from the perspective of farmers,how to raise the water productivity of maize.First,the paper calculates the maize' water productivity of 289 peasant households,and found that water productivity of different famers is great difference,change from 0.3 kg/m3 to 2.1kg/m3,the average value is 1.29kg/m3.Using the multivariate regression model analysis the main factors affecting farmers farmer' water productivity.Second,the paper calculates the Irrigation water productivity from 2006 to 2016 of Huaxian,analyzes the changes of Irrigation water productivity in 10 years.Then make Analysis of influencing factors between five controllable factors and five uncontrollable factors on the Irrigation water productivity.Puts forward some policy Suggestions from the perspective of agricultural production to improve the maize' water productivity.Conclusions and policy proposal.This part throw out suggestions to improve water productivity:land transfer and family farm,promote water-saving technology by propaganda.posters,and improve the farmers' awareness of saving water,etc.Farming in a scientific way can improve water productivity.In terms of increasing annual water productivity,famers can increase water productivity by inputting moderate irrigation and seed costs.Finally put forward some policy suggestions for the government in draft efficient water-saving policies.
