The modeling,rendering and interactive design of vegetation scene have important research and application significance in landscape design and forestry simulation etc.In the past decade,the field of compeuter graphics have done a great deal of work and proposed a lot of algorithms in the plant modeling and photorealistic rendering.However,the thesis focus on developing an interactive design system of vegetation scene,which provides an interactive editing environment allowing users to free design vegetation scene and generating the realistic rendering effects of vegetation scene in various weathers and seasons.More specifically,the thesis mainly includes three work:Firstly,constructing an interactive editing system for vegetation scene.The system allows users to intuitively and Interactively design plant species and distribution in the terrain by brush,so as to construct the vegetation scene which we need.Secondly,simulating various weather rendering effects of vegetation scene.The thesis researchs and implements the simulation methods of various weathers including cloud,rain,snow ect.The users can interactively control various parameters to adjust simulation effect in real time.Thirdly,simulating seasonal change effects of vegetation scene.The thesis researchs and implements simulation methods of seasonal effects including leaf growth and seasonal change of leaf color.The users can control the time parameter to get different seasonal effects.The experiment shows that the thesis can meet the needs of interactive design in the vegetation scene,and implements the realistic rendering effects of various changes of weather and season in the vegetation scene,and has important research significance and application value in landscape design and forestry simulation etc.
