In this study,Pinus tabulaeformis Carri(?)re was used as the research tree species.The complete random block design was used to cultivate the seedlings under the sub-irrigation system.Four kinds of non-woven containers(7cm diameter×9cm height?7cm×12cm?7cm×15cm?10cm×15cm)were designed to cultivate the seedlings,two kinds of non-woven containers(10cm×15cm,10cm×20cm)and black plastic containers(10cm x 15cm,10cm×20cm)to cultivate transplanting containerized seedlings.Based on seedling growth,physiological characteristics and outplanting performance,we tested the rationality and feasibility of non-woven container under sub-irrigation system and found the appropriate type of seedling age with suitable container sizes.The results showed:(1)Under the sub-irrigation system,the 7cm(diameter)x 15cm(height)non-woven containers were more suitable for seedlings growth of Pinus tabulaeformis(1-0).Seedling height,diameter and plant biomass were 12.78cm,2.29mm,1.15g per plant.Seedling quality was significantly better than the smaller containers.In this study,the 7m(diameter)× 15cm(height)non-woven fabric container was better than other types.(2)According to growth and nutrient accumulation of transplanting containerized seedling(1-1)under the sub-irrigation system,the two containers(1cm × 15cm,10cm ×20cm)had higher seedling quality than other sizes.Our results showed the non-woven container was feasible to cultivate seedlings.The 10cm(diameter)× 15cm(height)non-woven container was more suitable,the seedling height,diameter and plant biomass were 23.57cm,6.01mm,10.96g per plant.The seedling height and diameter were 96%,100%higher than those of the national seedling standard LY1000-91,respectively.(3)After one year of outplanting,the transplanting seedlings(1-1)cultivated under the sub-irrigation outplanting performance better due to significantly higher seedling height,diameter and biomass than those of transplanting seedlings(2-1).The 10 cm(diameter)x 15 cm(height)non-woven containers were more able to cultivated well growth seedlings.The seedling height,diameter and plant biomass were 32.34cm,12.48mm,43.15g per plant,respectively.
