By adopting the fecal sample analysis method, this paper made a trophic analysis of the Badger fecal samples collected in the Helan mountain area from March.2017 to August,2018,at the same time, the trophic changes of badgers in different seasons were compared.Through analyzing the 116 badger fecal samples, the results show that:(1)The food composition of badger mainly includes earthworms(41.10%),mammals(33.78%),fruits(16.77%)and insects(2.33%).Among them, the biomass ratio of rock sheep in mammals is up to 30.06%,and the biomass ratio of rose fruit is 12.64%.And in terms of the appearance frequency, that of the insects is the highest(33.75%).(2)There are significant changes in the composition of food species in different seasons, and there are significant differences in the proportion of food species that can be identified.(3)The Badger's trophic shannon-wiener index H ' is 1.641,and the evenness index E is 0.579.The standard Levins niche width index Bsta is 0.162.(4)In different seasons, although the appearance frequency of earthworm, snail, insect and larva does not change much, the biomass ratio of them is significantly different from each other.(5)The seasonal difference between birds and mammals is the most obvious;(6)Although the fruits show some seasonal differences, they have been an effective supplement to the badger's food supply in the Helan mountain area.
