Compound bacteria culture is a kind of microbial fermented feed rich in probiotics and a variety of active substances,which can improve feed quality,promote animal feeding,enhance immunity and antioxidant capacity,and maintain microecological balance of animal intestine.In this study,the effects of compound bacterial culture on the immunity,antioxidant function and production performance of mutton sheep were tested,which would provide a theoretical basis for the application of compound bacterial culture in mutton production.Forty healthy weaned lambs with similar body weights(17.38±0.24kg)at 3 months of age were selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group,with20 lambs in each group,including 8 rams and 12 exes.The testing period lasted 97 days,including 7 days for preliminary feeding and 90 days for formal period.Furthermore,the control group was fed with basic TMR diet and fermented forage made by farm,while the test group was fed with TMR diet supplemented with compound bacteria culture in it.The body weights were measured after 0,30,60 and 90 days,,and blood samples were collected,which was followed by detecting the indexes of serum immunity and antioxidant function after 0,60 and 90 days.The results showed that:1.The compound bacterial culture can significantly improve the immune function of mutton sheep.Specifically,the contents of IgG and IgM were 9.29mg/mL and 1.40mg/mL,increased by 39.49%(P<0.01)and 37.25%(P<0.05),respectively,and those of IL-6 content were 124.40ng/L,enhanced by 42.12%(P<0.05).2.Compound bacterial culture could regulate the antioxidant capacity of mutton sheep,which the GSH-PX activity in the experimental group was 101.58 U/mL,20.73%higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).3.Compound bacterial culture could significantly improve the growth performance of mutton sheep.The body weight and carcass weight increased by 6%and 9.07%(P<0.05),the feed intake increased by 2.8%(P>0.05).4.Compound bacterial culture could significantly thus increase economic benefits of sheep.the feed-meat ratio and feed-weight ratio decreased by 8.98%and 5.4%(P<0.05),and the slaughter rate increased by 1.24%(P<0.05).The profit per sheep of the experimental group was 43.35 yuan more than that of control group,which increased by 31.94%.5.Compound bacterial culture had no marked effect on the contents of IL-2,TNF-?,MDA and the activities of SOD,CAT and T-AOC(P>0.05).
