Alfalfa hay is rich in nutrients, mainly as feed for livestock. As animal husbandry products, the added value of alfalfa hay should not be too large in the actual production process,so reducing energy consumption of Alfalfa drying can reduce production costs. The drying experiments of Alfalfa at different drying stages at different temperatures were carried out to study the relationship between drying rate, nutrient content and initial drying temperature and drying stage. The experiment is divided into three parts:stepped heating drying, stepped cooling drying and constant temperature drying. The main research contents are as follows:(1)Through constant temperature drying, the effect of temperature on maternal nutrients was studied.(2)The effects of temperature on the nutrient composition of Alfalfa in different drying stages were studied by variable temperature drying.(3)Comparing constant temperature drying with variable temperature drying to find out the drying temperature with the lowest nutrient loss.In this paper, drying rate, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, acid detergent fiber and neutral detergent fiber were studied.By comparing the three parts of the experimental data,it can be seen that the variable temperature drying can achieve more nutrient retention.
