Land preparation is the most basic operation after the autumn harvest or before sowing.The soil of the surface layer,weeds,residue,and stubble are crushed and buried under the planting layer after crushing or rotary tillage to loosen the soil and improve the structure of the topsoil,so that the sowing layer of soil could better promote the growth and development of crops.So far,the mechanized corn harvest has been widely used.Corn harvester is usually installed at the back of straw returning machine,but in fact,the straw returning machine is only to smash the straw after harvest and lay it above the soil.After rotary tillage,a large amount of straw will still be exposed on the surface while only part of it has been buried in the sown layer,which will distinctly decrease the germination rate if the seeds are sown on the straw.According to the actual situation of the working area and the rotary tiller test,the paper provide a solution to optimize the rotary cultivator which will mainly concentrate on the fact of low rotary crushing rate and the inadequate depth of rotary tillage.The field performance test is carried out to verify the feasibility of the improved scheme,the optimal parameters combination of the rotary tiller is determined as well.The optimal design of the rotary tillage components is not only based on the literature research and field investigation,but the disadvantages of the existing rotary tiller,which is mainly focused on the simplification of rotary tiller,including the suspension frame,transmission system,knife roll,rotary blade and tool magazine,and,meanwhile the consumption power of the rotary tiller shaft is calculated.Simulation modeling of rotary parts is built by Solidworks.After completing 3D model of various parts,the rotary cultivator is assembled,and the interference is checked to ensure the accuracy of the components and the correction of the assembly data.The finite element analysis of the frame and the cutter roller is carried out by using Solidworks Simulation to verify the rationality of the structural design parameters.The preliminary verifies that the frame and the knife roller can meet the requirements of the strength and stiffness of the rotary tiller.By using the mathematical model of rotary tillage,the working condition and operation quality of the rotary tillage device are analyzed.According to the agricultural requirements,the arrangement of the rotary tiller tool magazine and the installation cutter group are designed.The arrangement of tool magazine is optimized and improved by herringbone arrangement,and the semi symmetric arrangement is designed.The knife group installed in the tool magazine has also been improved.There are three types of rotary blade installation,mode ? is composed of two small knives,mode?is composed of a long knife and small knife,mode ? is composed of two long knives.Field test of rotary tillage components are issued respectively for single factor and orthogonal test.In the single factor experiment,rotation speed,operation speed and installation arrangement of rotary blade are taken as experimental factors.After the tillage,the surface flattening rate,depth stability of the rotary tillage,passing rate of rotary tillage,residual amount of post-tillage ground straw and the percentage of broken stubble are used as the test indexes,and the level of orthogonal test factors and test indicators are also determined in the test,which indicates the optimal arrangement of rotary blade mounting arrangement is feasible.Because of the improved permutation,the method III is better than the first two.Through the experiment of orthogonal test and the analysis of the result,the optimal design of corresponding parameters of rotary cultivator is obtained: the III rotary tillage blade installation should be employed,while knife roll speed is 300 r/min and working speed is 1.2m/s.After testing the optimal combination scheme,final result shows that the prototype can meet the operational requirements,achieve the purpose of optimizing the design and provide reference for the improvement of rotary tiller.
