Zanthoxylum armatum is a Zanthoxylum plant of the Rutaceae family.Its causal solid color is green,which is called"green pepper".As a kind of cultivation and management measure,mulching has been applied in many plants,but there are few studies on green pepper mulching at present.For this reason,this experiment adopted typical sampling method and random block design,set different coverage methods and different shading coverage factors.Different coverage methods were divided into:(1)long-term full coverage,(2)alternate coverage,and set three alternate coverage time interval gradients:once every 2 weeks,once every 4 weeks and once every 6 weeks.The shading rate was set at three levels of 80%,90%and 100%,and no coverage was taken as a pair.Photo.To explore the effects of different mulching methods and shading rates on the growth and development,yield and undergrowth weeds of Zanthoxylum bungeanum,and to provide theoretical basis for the cultivation and management of high-quality and high-yield cultivation of Zanthoxylum bungeanum and the sustainable development cultivation techniques of Zanthoxylum bungeanum industry.The results show that:(1)Mulching helps to increase ground diameter,plant height and crown width of Zanthoxylum bungeanum.The ground diameter,plant height and crown width of Zanthoxylum bungeanum increased by 3.6-16.3%,1.5-11.8%and 1.5-7.8%respectively compared with the control.The effect of mulching treatment on the gro wth of Zanthoxylum bungeanum increased first and then decreased with the increase of shading rate and alternating mulching time gradient.Mulching treatment had a significant effect on the growth of Zanthoxylum bungeanum,among which T2L90(shading rate 90%,alternating mulching interval 2 weeks)had the best effect.(2)Mulching helps to increase the yield and fruit setting rate of Zanthoxylum bungeanum.The yield of each mulching treatment ranged from 5.10 kg to 6.68 kg,which increased by 11.6-46.2%compared with the control treatment.Among them,T2L90(shading rate 90%,alternating mulching interval 2 weeks)increased the most(6.68kg/plant).The effect of mulching treatment on yield of Zanthoxylum bungeanum increased first and then decreased with the increase of shading rate and alternating mulching time gradient.The fruit setting rate of all mulching treatments ranged from 50.9%to 66.4%,which was 1.4-32.2%higher than that of the control treatment.Among them,T2L90treatments(shading rate 90%,alternating mulching interval 2 weeks)had the highest fruit setting rate(66.4%).The yield of Zanthoxylum bungeanum was positively correlated with each growth index,and the growth of Zanthoxylum bungeanum was closely correlated with the yield of Zanthoxylum bungeanum.(3)Mulching helps to reduce the biomass and density of weeds under Zanthoxylum bungeanum forest.The dry weight of weeds in each mulching treatment was 1.26-326.67g/m~2,which was 63.9-99.7%lower than that in the control treatment.Among them,treatment T0L100(shading rate was 100%,long-term full coverage)had the greatest reduction(1.26 g/m~2).Under the same gradient,the fresh weight of weeds decreased with the increase of shading rate.The weed density of each mulching treatment ranged from 1to 56 plants/m~2,which was 26.5%to 98.4%lower than that of the control treatment.Among them,treatment T0L100(shading rate 100%,long-term full coverage)was the highest(66.4%).Under the same gradient,weed density decreased with the increase of shading rate.(4)Mulching significantly inhibited the nutrient uptake of weeds.The accumulation of nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium in weeds under mulching treatment was significantly lower than that under CK treatment,which decreased by 64.9~98.4%,63.6~98.4 and 65.4~98.1%,respectively.The inhibition effect of treatment T0L100 was the most significant.The total nutrient accumulation of weeds in mulching treatment decreased with the increase of shading rate,and increased first and then decreased with the increase of alternating mulching time gradient.In conclusion,mulching treatment can promote the growth and development of Zanthoxylum bungeanum,increase yield and fruit setting rate,reduce weed biomass and density,and inhibit the accumulation of weed nutrients.Comprehensive evaluation showed that treatment T2L90(shading rate 90%,2 weeks alternate mulching)was the most conducive to the growth and development of Zanthoxylum bungeanum,increase yield and fruit setting rate,and treatment T0L100(shading rate 100%,long-term full mulching)had the best weed control effect.In this study,field experiments were conducted to preliminarily obtain the effects of different mulching on the growth,yield and undergrowth weeds of Zanthoxylum bungeanum,which could provide reference for the production and management of Zanthoxylum bungeanum.
