With the increase of the number of pet dogs in Shihezi area,the prevalence rate of pet dogs increased sharply,among which uterine and obstetric diseases increased most obviously,and canine endometritis accounted for a large proportion.Canine endometritis is a common disease in estrus and postpartum bitches.It is an important disease that leads to uterine inflammation caused by multiple pathogenic bacteria.However,due to the absence of obvious clinical symptoms in the early stage of the disease,it is easy to miss the best treatment time and cause unnecessary damage to the physical function of the affected dog.Therefore,it is particularly important to identify the bacterial species of endometritis in pet dogs in Shihezi area as soon as possible,and to establish a rapid diagnosis and scientific prevention and control as one of the technical means.Objective: To identify the main pathogenic characteristics,clinical symptoms and pathogenic bacteria of endometritis in pet dogs in Shihezi area,and to establish a set of rapid and accurate diagnosis and scientific prevention and treatment as one of the technical means,the following experiments were carried out in this study.Methods:(1)To differentiate and diagnose clinically suspected canine endometritis by blood routine examination,X-ray examination and B-mode ultrasonography;(2)To select the uterus of the diseased canine treated by surgical excision and make pathological sections to observe the pathological changes of uterus;(3)Aseptically collect the uterine contents and vaginal secretions of the diseased canine,and use routine microbiological methods to classify the bacteria.To isolate and purify the bacteria,observe their culture,morphological and biochemical characteristics,and detect their susceptibility to 10 common antimicrobial agents by K-B method;(4)The multiplex PCR was established to identify pathogenic bacteria;(5)The main pathogenic bacteria was identified according to the results of drug sensitivity test and multiple PCR,and prepared different suppositories for the treatment and prevention of clinical canine endometritis.Compared with traditional methods.Result:(1)47 diseased dogs were diagnosed by systematic diagnosis from 55 suspected diseased dogs;(2)Pathological section results showed that the four pathogenic bacteria seriously invaded the uterus of dogs,the uterus became thicker,the uterus mucosa fell off seriously,the uterus gland increased sharply,and a large number of inflammatory cells appeared.(3)57 strains of pathogenic bacteria were isolated from confirmed dogs,including 23 strains of Escherichia coli,11 strains of Salmonella,12 strains of Streptococcus and 11 strains of Staphylococcus aureus.The biological characteristics of the isolates were in accordance with the characteristics of species.Moreover,the multiple phenomena of bacterial infection were obvious.Drug sensitivity test showed that the pathogenic bacteria causing canine endometritis in this area had high resistance,the highest was gentamicin(65.2%),amoxicillin(56.5%)and the lowest was ofloxacin(8.3%).The susceptible drugs of the four main pathogenic bacteria of Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,Streptococcus and Salmonella were cefotaxime,enrofloxacin,ofloxacin and florfenicol,respectively.(4)The results of multiplex PCR showed that canine endometritis in Shihezi area was caused by the synergistic action of two or more main pathogenic bacteria;(5)Drug sensitivity test and multiplex PCR were used to identify the main pathogenic bacteria.Selecting sensitive drugs to make drug suppositories had a significant effect on the clinical treatment and prevention of canine endometritis.Conclusion:The main pathogenic bacteria in Shihezi area are Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,Streptococcus and Salmonella.The sensitive drugs of the main pathogenic bacteria are cefotaxime,enrofloxacin,ofloxacin and florfenicol.Prepared glycerol propolis suppository has remarkable effect on early prevention and treatment at the onset stage.
