Paeonia lactiflora Pall.is a perennial herb in Paeonia L.genus Paeoniaceae family.It is not only a famous ornamental flower,but also a common medicinal material in China.P.lactiflora is often used to nourish the blood and regulate the menstrual,astringe yin,soften liver and relieve pain,smooth liver-yang.Studies have shown that P.lactiflora performs outstanding acts of anti-oxidation,analgesic,anti-inflammatory,and immune-regulating.P.lactiflora ‘Chuanshaoyao'is one of the major medicinal P.lactiflora in China.It is excellent and well-known both in China and abroad.But P.lactiflora ‘Chuanshaoyao' is ovule infertility.It is flowering and not fruitful,only in asexual reproduction,long-term single way of asexual reproduction is not only the medicinal P.lactiflora ‘Chuanshaoyao'planting cost too high,can also lead to unstable quality and output of P.lactiflora ‘Chuanshaoyao',at the same time,so far has not been a real varieties of medicinal P.lactiflora ‘Chuanshaoyao',it is not only for medicinal P.lactiflora ‘Chuanshaoyao' resources is a waste,but also a risk.So in this work,P.lactiflora ‘Baihuachuanshaoyao'(CSY-B),P.lactiflora ‘Honghuachuanshaoyao'(CSY-H),P.lactiflora ‘Hangshaoyao'(HSY),P.lactiflora ‘Bozhoushaoyao'(BZSY)were used as materials to test new varieties of medicinal P.lactiflora ‘Chuanshaoyao'.The content of active ingredients and the stress resistance of.P.lactiflora were studied.It aims to provide scientific theoretical basis for new varieties of medicinal P lactiflora ‘Chuanshaoyao'.The results are mainly as follows:1.The distinctness uniformity stability of 36 required traits and 3 selected traits of medicinal P.lactiflora were determined by two growth cycle field experiments.The results showed that the CSY-B and CSY-H have their own distinctness.Mean of 9 qualitative binary characters and 10 qualitative polymorphic characters were 100% in CSY-B,the CV of 4 quantitative characters were 0 in CSY-B.It is satisfying uniformity and stability.Mean of 9 qualitative binary characters and 9 qualitative polymorphic characters were 100% in CSY-H,the CV of 4 quantitative characters were 0 in CSY-H.It is satisfying uniformity and stability.The result of comprehensive judgement shows that eight traits,including plant growth habit,villus on the undersurface of young leaves,flower type,petaloid degree,color and shape of stamens,anther residue of stamens and petaloid color of stamens relative to outer petals,all met distinctness uniformity stability.Therefore,the two medicinal P.lactiflora ‘Chuanshaoyao' are potential new varieties.2.The contents of paeoniflorin in four P.lactiflora were analyzed by HPLC.The contents of paeoniflorin in four strains of P.lactiflora met the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2015 edition,Part I).The highest content of paeoniflorin in CSY-H was 4.27%.Followed by HSY,and CSY-B,Paeoniflorin was 4.04%,and 3.96%.There is no significant difference between them.BZSY is the lowest content paeoniflorin was 3.12%.3.Pot experiments were conducted to simulate water stress,salt stress and chromium stress,and principal component analysis was used to evaluate the stress resistance of four medicinal P.lactiflora strains.Principal component analysis showed that under water stress,BZSY had the highest comprehensive score,followed by CSY-B and HSY,and CSY-H had the lowest comprehensive score.Therefore,the water stress resistance of the four medicinal peony lines was BZSY,CSY-B,HSY and CSY-H,respectively.The comprehensive scores of HSY were the highest under salt stress,followed by BZSY and CSY-B.The comprehensive scores of CSY-H were the lowest.The ability to resist salt stress from high to low was HSY,BZSY,CSY-B and CSY-H,respectively.Principal component analysis showed that HSY had the highest comprehensive score under Cr stress,followed by BZSY and CSY-B,and CSY-H had the lowest comprehensive score.Therefore,the ability to resist Cr stress from high to low was HSY,BZSY,CSY-B and CSY-H,respectively.
