Under the increasingly prominent contradiction between grassland and livestock in arid and semi-arid areas,more and more attention has been paid to whether there is an overload phenomenon in the carrying capacity of land resources.Carrying out research on regional land resource carrying capacity is an important means to solve the contradiction between human development and ecological environment.Therefore,this paper chooses Xilingol grassland as the research object,constructs the evaluation index system of land resources carrying capacity based on PSR(pressure-state-response)model on the grid scale,and evaluates the carrying capacity of land resources in Xilingol grassland by using the entropy weight-TOPSIS evaluation method.The purpose is to quantitatively evaluate the spatial distribution and evolution trend of Xilingol League's land resources carrying capacity in different time periods from the perspective of grass-livestock balance,and put forward some feasible suggestions to realize balanced economic sustainable development of grassland and livestock in grassland pastoral areas.The evaluation results can be used as the basis for local government management and decision-making,and have practical significance for realizing the organic combination of ecological protection and animal husbandry production,promoting the prosperity of herdsmen and the sustainable development of grassland economy,as well as the construction of border areas of the motherland and the protection of ecological barrier in the north.The results show:(1)The Eastern meadow in Xilingol and typical grassland areas,which are low pressure,good condition,good response and grass livestock imbalance,high bearing capacity areas;the central typical grassland areas,which are high pressure,medium state,high response and grass livestock imbalance,high bearing capacity areas;the Hunshandake sandy grassland area in the south-central part,which are low pressure,worse,bad state,average,bad response and grass and livestock unbalanced medium and low carrying capacity areas,the western desert grassland area is a high pressure,poor state,poor response and grass and livestock unbalanced medium and low carrying capacity area.(2)From 2000 to 2015,the area of the low-pressure zone showed an overall increasing trend,but decreased after 2010,and the area of high-pressure zone showed a gradual increasing trend;the area of poor-state zone decreased significantly,while the area of better-state zone increased;the area of both good response area and poor response zone increased.Due to the differences in pressure,state and response in different regions,the carrying capacity of land resources in Xilingol grassland has been improved in most areas,but there is also a trend of deterioration in some areas.(3)The carrying capacity of land resources in Xilingol grassland is affected by both natural and human factors,in which the average temperature in growing season and precipitation are the main natural factors;grazing intensity,urbanization rate,enclosure and forbidden grazing area,returning farmland to forestry area,total amount of grazing and storing grass,per capita disposable income of permanent residents in pastoral areas are the main human factors.
