Corn(Zea mays L.)is the world's most important food crop and feed crop.It plays a key role in the human diet and animal feed and provides enough energy and protein.On the other hand,China has a vast territory and a large climate difference between the north and the south.It is essential to choose silage corn varieties suitable for local cultivation.This study aims to provide theoretical data for the selection of silage corn varieties in Guanzhong,Shaanxi Province by comparing the production data and conventional nutrient indicators of different varieties of silage corn in Guanzhong,Shaanxi.It provides strong support for the healthy development of animal husbandry in China and the healthy and efficient breeding of ruminants.The experimental system compared the agronomic traits and production performance of different silage maize varieties,the differences in conventional nutrient composition of different silage maize varieties(MM1?MM2?MM3?MM4?MM5?ME1?E4 and XXD60),and the agronomic traits and production performance of different silage maize varieties at different harvesting stages.(1)The results showed that there was no significant difference in the emergence time of eight different varieties of silage maize;the height of different silage maize varieties was found to be the highest in the height of the new Dongdan 60,and the height of the MM1 and ME1 varieties was the lowest;Comparing the difference of stem diameter,the diameter of Xindongdan 60 was 22.04 mm,which was the highest among the 8 tested varieties,followed by MM5;the difference between stem dry weight MM1,MM2,MM3,MM4,ME1 and XDD60 was not significant(P>0.05);The stalk freshness was the highest in Dongdan 60,which was significantly different from other varieties(P<0.001).(2)The analysis and comparison of the nutritional indexes of different silage maize varieties showed that the content of crude protein(CP)in Xindandong 60 varieties was the highest,reaching 11.42%,and other The varieties were significantly different(P<0.001);the lowest stalk fiber(CF)content was E4,the CF content was 9.54%,the leaf crude fat(EE)content was E4,and the crude fat content was 1.70%.Stem XDD60 has the highest crude ash(ASH)content,with a ratio of 3.66%.(3)There are some differences in the production performance of silage corn in different harvesting periods.The recommended harvesting period for the seven varieties of MM1,MM2,MM3,MM4,MM5,ME1 and E4 in Guanzhong is July,and the recommended harvesting period for XDD60 is August.Get a larger amount of biomassThe comprehensive evaluation found that the new Dongdan 60,MM5 and MM3 varieties were suitable for planting in the Guanzhong area of Shaanxi.The comprehensive performance of Xindongdan 60 was better than that of MM5 and MM3,and the superior performance of the varieties could produce high economic benefits.
