In recent years, the role of phytolith carbon in the global carbon cycle gets more and more attention. In the study area, the dominant species in Great Kingan forest area was Larix gmeliniii. The young,middle-aged,near-maturing and over-ripening Larix gmelinii forests were selected to analysis the phytoliths in the soil of Larix gmeliniii forests with different forest ages;Meanwhile the contents, reserves and stoichiometry of Phyt OC,Phyt N,Phyt P and Phyt Si in soil profiles were also determined to discuss the storage effects of phytolith. The results as follows:1.The content and reserves of phytolith,Phyt OC,Phyt N,Phyt P,and Phyt Si in each forest age were increased with the soil depth. There is a significant correlation between soil phytolith content and storage elements.2.The content and reserves of phytoliths and their stored elements decreased first and then increased with the forest age due to the physiological functions and stand stability of plants in different growth stages.3.The ratios of C/N,C/P,N/P of phytoliths in different forest ages presented decreasing trend with the soil depth. In the depth of 0-30 cm,the stoichiometry in the phytolith presented no obvious change with time series;in 30-50 cm,the stoichiometry decreased with the increase of forest age.4.In this study,a large number of phytolith samples were extracted, and the levels of Phyt Si were analyzed. The stoichiometric characteristics of Phyt Si and carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus were also discussed to reveal the elemental storage effects of phytolith.
