Minqin desert oasis region is located in a typical temperate arid desert climate zone. The problem of land desertification and soil quality deterioration caused by unreasonable farming methods in this region is becoming more and more serious. The experiment was carried out on maize field in Minqin for many years. The experiment included four treatments: no tillage, less tillage, subsoiling and autumn ploughing. The experiment was designed for completely randomized block design.Soil enzyme activity, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium stock, organic matter content and nutrient element content of crops were determined at different growth stages of maize(sowing, seedling, heading and maturity). The effects of conservation tillage on cultivated land quality and crop nutrient uptake were studied, which provided theoretical basis and basic data for the healthy development of local farmland ecosystem and the selection of better farming methods. The results are as follows:1.In the 0-20 cm soil layer, the soil C,N,P,K nutrient content in the four periods studied in the experiment showed different trends, and the soil nutrient content in different tillage modes showed that conservation tillage was greater than traditional tillage.1.In the0-20 cm soil layer, the soil C,N and K nutrient contents in the four periods studied in the experiment were as follows: before sowing > heading > emergence > maturity;and among different tillage modes, the soil nutrient contents in conservation tillage were higher than that in traditional tillage.2.The activities of soil enzymes were higher in 0-20 cm soil layer than in 20-40 cm soil layer in all four periods. In most periods, the activities of various enzymes in 0-20 cm soil layer showed that protective tillage was higher than traditional tillage.Tillage patterns can change soil carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content in varying degrees by changing soil enzyme activities.3.Compared with traditional tillage, conservation tillage can increase the contents of organic carbon, total nitrogen, total potassium and total phosphorus in crops.Tillage patterns have different effects on the content of C,N,P and K,C,K,C,P,N and P of crops.4.Soil nutrients and enzyme activities, especially catalase, urease and activity, reached very significant levels(P < 0.01);among them, organic carbon and six enzyme activities reached significant levels;organic carbon, urease, invertase and corn nutrients reached very significant levels.
