The vernalization of wheat is a phenomenon that wheat must go through a period of sustained low temperature in order to change from vegetative growth stage to reproductive growth stage. This requirement for low temperature is an adaptive mechanism for plants to cope with low temperature stress and survive in extreme winter conditions,so as to prevent plants from flowering in cold winter.Wheat varieties planted in different environments need different vernalization characteristics to ensure flowering and reproductive development at the best time. The changes of temperature, light and other major environmental factors seriously affect the growth and development of wheat.Keeping a good agreement between them can maintain the stability of wheat growth and development.SN0594,a new wheat germplasm created in our laboratory, can quickly heading to complete the growth period without low temperature vernalization,it also has good frost resistance,so it has important use value. In this study,SN0594 and wheat varieties with different living habits collected from different wheat planting areas were used to study the light and temperature response of wheat. The main results are as follows:?1?In this study,SN0594 and wheat varieties?lines?with different vernalization habits were used as materials to identify the vernalization gene and photoperiod gene composition, and to identify the growth period under different environmental conditions,so as to determine the utilization value of this material. The results showed wheat materials with dominant alleles at Vrn-A1 locus can complete heading under the condition of long-day without low temperature vernalization in the artificial climate chamber.SN0594 had a dominant allelic variation gene Vrn-A1a at Vrn-A1 locus,Yangmai 14 and Yangmai 15 had a dominant allelic variation gene Vrn-A1b,and China spring had a dominant allelic variation gene Vrn-D1.?2?According to the identification results of growth period in different environments, the spring effect of different dominant genes at Vrn-A1 locus was Vrn-A1a>Vrn-A1b>Vrn-B1>Vrn-D1;The field investigation shows that the heading time of different wheat materials after vernalization in winter is quite different from that in the artificial climate chamber,SN0594 and Chinese Spring heading were later than other varieties, which showed that in addition to vernalization gene, the photoperiod gene Ppd-D1b also had a greater impact on the growth period of wheat. They need to meet certain long-day conditions to promote wheat heading and flowering.?3?SN0594 and Yannong 15 were used to construct F2 population, the results of artificial climate chamber show that, the segregation ratio of 3:1 or 1:1 was not consistent with the single gene control in 204 F2 populations, and it was not consistent with the gene composition of Vrn and Ppd loci, which indicated that the vernalization habit of wheat germplasm SN0594might be controlled by multiple gene loci, which needs further study.
