Seed vigor is a comprehensive performance that determines the activity level and behavior characteristics of seeds or seed batches during germination and emergence,and Seed vigor is an important indicator of seed quality.At present,the vigor status of wheat seeds in the market is not clear,and some seed companies have weak quality awareness.However,the production requirements for seed germination quality are becoming higher and higher.The detection of the germination percentage of the seeds cannot fully meet the needs of producers.Therefore,the vigor of wheat seeds needs to be tested before sowing,but there is a lack of systematic research on the seed vigor evaluation technology of wheat in China.In this study,we collected winter wheat seed samples from the wheat market in northern Huang-Huai-Hai market for two consecutive years(2018-2019 Year),tested and analyzed their seed vigor,and tracked the stability of wheat seed quality among designated enterprises in different year.41 wheat varieties were uniformly planted and harvested under the same field conditions,and the differences in wheat seed vigor were tested to screen high-vigor wheat varieties.Using 8 wheat varieties with different vigor levels as materials,the existing seed vigor test methods were evaluated and screened,and seed vigor evaluation techniques and evaluation indicators were established to provide technical support for the accurate evaluation of wheat seed vigor and ensure field emergence.The main results are as follows:1.Analysis of the vigor of wheat seeds in circulation in the northern Huang-Huai-Hai market from 2018 to 2019The germination percentage of wheat samples in 2018 was 79.33% to 98.67%,with an average germination percentage of 91.79%;The qualified rate of samples was 92.59%;the sample germination percentage in 2019 was 85% to 99.67%,the average germination percentage was 94.16%,and the qualified rate of samples was 100%.The proportions of samples with germination percentages higher than 90% and 95% in 2018 were 74.07% and 22.22%,and the proportions of samples with germination percentages higher than 90% and 95% in 2019 were 87.50% and 53.13%,which are significantly higher than in 2018.Compared with 2018,the germination energy,germination percentage and germination index of wheat seed samples in 2019 showed an upward trend,But the vigor index declined.The overall inter-annual vigor status of wheat seeds was unstable.In 2019,the over all seed vigor index and field emergence percentage of wheat seeds decreased and the damage percentage increased.2.Differences in seed vigor among different wheat varietiesForty-one wheat varieties were planted and harvested under the same conditions,and the differences in seed vigor were measured.Cluster analysis was performed according to the germination and vigor indicators of the standard germination test,and 41 wheat varieties were classified into three types of high vigor,medium vigor,and low vigor,accounting for 34.15%,60.98%,and 4.87%.14 high vigor varieties include Shannong 20,Shannong 28,Han 6172,Zhongmai 175,Tainong 33,Hongdi 95,Hemai 19,Taikemai 31,Qimin 8,Yangguang 10,Tanmai 98,Yannong 173,Lumai 21,Shannong 23,the average germination energy was 98.70%,the germination percentage is 98.84%,the average germination index is 24.70,the average vigor index 0.5065.Analysis of the grain traits and chemical components of different wheat varieties revealed that there were significant differences in thousand-grain weight,vigor index,physical properties and chemical components among different Wheat.3.Wheat seed vigor evaluation technology based on stress germination and physiological and biochemical determination8 wheat varieties with different levels of seed vigor were used as materials.Through standard germination test,artificial accelerated aging test,Identification test of drought germination,emergence soil ability test,rapid conductivity measurement and machine vision based seedling growth measurement,the inter-species vigor index.The difference and correlation analysis showed that the seed vigor index germinated under drought stress with 3% and 5% water content,the dry weight of a single plant on the 6th day under drought stress with 3% water content,the seedling length for 6 days under 5% water content,41?-72 h,43?-72 h,45?-48 h after aging treatment,the conductivity increase after seed immersion for 8-10 h,the conductivity increase of artificial aging treated wheat seeds for 12-14 h and 14-16 h,The seedling length and projected area of wheat seedlings on the 6th days by vertical culture are good indicators for seed vigor evaluation and can be used for seed vigor evaluation of wheat.
