| In recent years,the development of animal medicine in our country has advanced by leaps and bounds,and the exploration and application of new medical technologies have sprung up.MRI technology in the field of animal imaging diagnosis and treatment is a recent hotspot and difficulty.Carrying out blood vessel studies on the dog’s head is a useful method for diagnosing diseases of the central nervous system and can provide neurosurgeons with more detailed information.Neck angiography is helpful to find information such as cervical venous malformation.Similar pathological findings in dog cerebral blood vessels are rarely documented in the literature.The application of superconducting magnetic resonance has been increasing recently,and it is difficult to master and popularize the application of new functions,which requires exploration and research.In order to meet the development needs of the industry and also for the health and welfare of animals,this experiment explores and evaluates the vascular imaging direction of the newly installed 1.5T animal diagnostic MRI instrument.On the one hand,it can improve our understanding and mastery of the field,on the other hand,it can also provide a reference for the clinical application of animals.To this end,we have done the following studies:In the first experiment,a 1.5T animal magnetic resonance imaging instrument was used to scan the head and neck of 3 adult Beagle dogs by 3D-TOF-MRA scanning,and a 1.5T MRI image of the head and neck arteries of healthy adult Beagle dogs was obtained,and five pairs of intracranial arteries,basilar arteries and two types of internal carotid arteries(ICA)were evaluated.The image quality score of each artery is 0~3,0 is differential,and 3 is excellent.The stitching and labeling of the scan results of the blood vessels in the dog’s head and neck are conducive to the mastery and understanding of the arteries in the dog’s head and neck.Results: In all dogs,the average image quality score of basilar artery(BA)vessels was >2,and the image quality was clinically reliable;The image quality scores of anterior cerebral artery(RCA),middle cerebral artery(MCA),posterior communicating artery(CCOA)and internal carotid artery(ICA)appear bilaterally;The average image quality score of the anterior cerebellar artery(RCEA)and posterior cerebral artery(CCA)is<2,and the image quality is clinically unreliable.Therefore,there is still much room for improvement in this field of imaging technology,and further research and improvement are needed.In the second experiment,CT angiography(CTA)was used to scan the blood vessels of the head and neck of the beagle dog to obtain CTA images of the main blood vessels of the head and neck of the normal beagle dog.Compared with MRA image analysis,understand the advantages and disadvantages of the two techniques in animal clinical angiography.As a result,both MRA and CTA scans can obtain good image information.The CTA scan time is short,the three-dimensionality is strong,and it is not affected by the blood flow velocity.The imaging blood vessels are continuous.MRA has no radiation,no contrast agent is needed,and the imaging information is clear in detail,which can distinguish arteries and veins well.Both have their own advantages and disadvantages,and clinical application needs to be comprehensively considered according to specific needs.The third study is based on the study of contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography(CE-MRA),which is simple,low-risk,and can display all the clinically relevant major arteriovenous veins,which helps to discover such lesions and assess the hypothesis of their actual prevalence.In this experiment,the method of using magnetic resonance imaging(CE-MRA)to delineate the intracranial and external blood vessels of dogs was discussed.The CE-MRA technique was used to obtain images of the main blood vessels of the dog’s head.Compared with the non-enhanced MRA,the dog’s head was evaluated under two methods.And the non-invasive anatomy of the blood vessels provides a reference basis for veterinary clinic.Results: CE-MRA showed all major arteries and veins in intracranial,extracranial and neck,as well as all major venous sinuses and cerebral plexus in the brain.The bifurcation of the common carotid artery,internal and external carotid artery,external jugular vein,maxillary vein,and lingual facial vein is clearly defined.Compared with NCE-MRA,CE-MRA has more imaging information and clear contours,but the arteriovenous vessels are interlaced and the vessels are complex,making it difficult to distinguish the target vessel from the vessel segment.This study involves more anatomy of important blood vessels and vascular segments of the dog’s head and neck,as well as the description and evaluation of the operation and application of new diagnostic equipment,which has important reference value and practical significance in clinical practice application and research. |
