West Uzhemchin county is one of the main areas of animal husbandry in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Uzhemchin cattle and sheep is one of the main livestock in this county. With the development of animal husbandry, parasitic diseases of cattle and sheep are one of the reasons that endanger the healthy development of animal husbandry.Because of the delayed preventive measures of parasitic diseases, the livestock performance and the yield and quality of livestock products had been lowered. The current study was performed in order to preliminarily understand prevalence of main helminthiasis of cattle and sheep in Bayanhua area of West Uzhemchin and the effects of several anthelmintic drugs were comparatively studied. In the spring of 2018 and 2019,a comprehensive epidemiological survey was conducted on the helminthiasis of cattle and sheep in this area, and the several anthelmintic drugs were comparatively studied in naturally infected sheep.Firstly, the experimental points were selected.According to different administrative regions, fresh fecal samples were collected from individual animal and examined qualitatively and quantitativelyby using the parasitological method, and the total infection rate of cattle and sheep helminthiasis was calculate.Secondly,a certain number of naturally infected sheep were selected and grouped, and were given Ivermectin,Albendazole,Pyrantel pamoate,Nitroxinil,Levamisole hydrochloride,Closantel sodium, and Niclofolan-Ivermectin respectively,to study comparatively their anthelmintic effects. The results showed that in 2018,the total infection rate of gastrointestinal helminth in cattle in this area was 12.0%,among which the infection rates of nematodes, cestodes and trematodes were 11.2%,0.4%and 0.4%,respectively.The total infection rate of gastrointestinal helminth in sheep was 73.5%,with infection rates of nematodes, cestodes and trematodes were 70.9%,3.5%and 0.6%,respectively.In 2019,the total infection rate of gastrointestinal helminth in cattle in this area was 24.6%,among which the infection rates of nematodes, cestodes and trematodes were 12.9%,5.5%and 7.8%,respectively.The total infection rate of gastrointestinal helminth in sheep was 51.4%,with infection rates of nematodes, cestodes and trematodes were 48.0%,4.5%and 4.9%,respectively.In comparison of the two consecutive year study on anthelmintic effect of drugs.Show that Ivermectin has completely lost its anthelmintic effect on sheep's gastrointestinal nematodes, and Albendazole and Pyrantel pamoate are also indicate very poor effects on gastrointestinal nematode. It shows that the nematodes prevailing in sheep in this area have developed strong resistance to these three drugs. However,Nitroxinil,Levamisole hydrochloride, and Closantel sodium showed a strong anthelmintic effect, and the fecal egg reduction counts(FERC)after single administration was more than 98%.Therefore,the infection of gastrointestinal nematodes in cattle in Bayanhua area of West Uzhemchin County is comparatively slight, while that in sheep is serious, and the prevalent dominant species have developed high resistance to Ivermectin and Albendazolewhich are widely used in this area currently.
