Mongolian Astragalus spathus(Fisch.)Bge.Var.mongholicus(Bge.With the in-depth exploration of the medicinal value of astragalus membranaceus, the market demand for astragalus membranaceus is constantly expanding. In order to meet the growing social demand for medicine, the uncontrolled mining of wild Chinese medicinal materials leads to the continuous reduction of wild astragalus resources.Under this background,it is imperative to improve the efficiency of artificial cultivation of astragalus membranaceus. The cultivation of strong seedlings is the key to improve the efficiency of artificial cultivation.Soilless seedling cultivation technology is widely used in the artificial cultivation of wild medicinal materials due to its advantages of good root development after colonization, strong adaptability of rhizosphere environment and soilless cultivation,no damage to roots, easy survival, and generally no slow seedling stage. For astragalus membranaceus soilless seedling technique, however, study is less, cause artificial cultivated astragalus root yield is low,the quality is poor, therefore, this test starting from the actual problem, through the study of astragalus membranaceus seedlings growth law of under the condition of different substrates,to explore the key technology of astragalus membranaceus soilless seedling raising, thus to improve the artificial cultivation of yield and quality of radix astragali, radix astragali factory nursery to provide theoretical basis and practical support. In this study,Mongolian astragalus,a genuine medicinal material, was selected as the test material and cultivated by soilless seedling cultivation. The effects of different kinds of matrix on the growth and development of Mongolian astragalus seedlings and the contents of main medicinal ingredients were studied as follows:(1)Influence on seedling growth. The growth of Mongolian astragalus seedlings can be promoted by both substrate and nutrient solution treatment, among which T2(peat:vermiculite=2:1)treated by substrate and Y1(1 Hoagland and Aron common nutrient solution)treated by nutrient solution have the best seedling effect. At 77 d,the differences in plant height, stem diameter, branch number, taproic root length, lateral root length, taproic root diameter, lateral root diameter, reeds head stem diameter and seedling index were the largest when compared with CK.Among them, the indexes of T2 treatment increased by 55.77%,23.46%,30.18%,13.46%,23.32%,54.10%,72.97%,43.22%,and 177%,respectively,compared with CK.In terms of these indicators,Y1 increased by 146.27%,153.09%,75.47%,65.34%,53.36%,190.16%,251.35%,121.09%and 700%compared with CK.However,at 77 d,the root-cap ratio of astragalus seedlings treated by each treatment was significantly different from that of CK.In addition,T2 in the root-cap ratio of CK was increased by 11%,and Y1 in the nutrient solution treatment was increased by 45%.(2)Influence on physiological indicators. Both the substrate and nutrient solution treatment can increase the chlorophyll content in the leaves of astragalus seedlings, enhance the root activity, and reduce the content of free amino acids in the root. The most significant treatments are T2 and Y1,respectively.When treated with T2 and Y1 at 77 d,the chlorophyll content of leaves increased by 28.65%and 72.55%respectively compared with CK.(3)Influence on medicinal ingredients. The content of tfa and TSP in root system of astragalus seedlings could be increased by both substrate and nutrient solution treatment, while the content of T2 in substrate treatment and Y1 in nutrient solution treatment were higher. The content of tfa and TSP in T2 and Y1 treatment increased by 8.47%,76.40%,37.14%and 402.81%,respectively,compared with CK at 77 d.
