Anthocyanin from lycium ruthenicum Murr is an important extract of black lycium barbarum, which has a wide range of uses.At present, the research on black lycium barbarum mainly focuses on improving the extraction rate of anthocyanin, anthocyanin antioxidant, and free radical scavenging. There are no reports on whether it has interfered with lipid accumulation through white fat browning.Fat is divided into white fat and brown fat.White fat exercises the function of storing energy.Brown fat consumes energy. It can improve lipid metabolism by browning white fat.Based on the above mechanism, this study used C57BL/6 ordinary and obese mice as the research object. The body weight, body temperature, feed intake, glucose and insulin tolerance, and blood lipids of the test mice were measured to determine the effects of anthocyanin from lycium ruthenicum Murr on blood lipid levels and glucose tolerance of experimental mice.Detection of white fat browning-related factors, further study and discussion of the regulation effect of anthocyanin from lycium ruthenicum Murr on white fat browning of C57BL/6 mice and its potential molecular mechanism, the main results are as follows:1.Anthocyanin from lycium ruthenicum Murr can significantly reduce the body weight, tissue coefficient and Lee’s index(P <0.05)of C57BL/6 normal and obese mice, improve glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity of C57BL/6 normal and obese mice, and improve Blood lipid levels and lipid accumulation in C57BL/6 normal and obese mice.2.The results of Western Blot, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence showed that anthocyanin from lycium ruthenicum Murr can increase the protein expression of UCP1 and PHB in white fat of groin of C57BL/6 obese mice.To sum up,it is speculated that anthocyanin from lycium ruthenicum Murr can induce the browning of white fat in mice, reduce the weight of mice, and improve blood lipid levels and lipid metabolism of mice.
