This paper dryland pinus tabulaeformis afforestation tree species in Xining area,crown fruit,populus simonii,qing Yang plant as the research objects,and the way of combination of dry land afforestation using pot experiment,has carried out different water-saving measures of soil water content and seedling growth change research,through the single factor experiments and subordinate function analysis summed up the different water saving measures the impact of the change of soil moisture content and seedling growth,select different seedling forestation best supporting measures.The main conclusions were below:1.In the pot experiment,the soil water content was linearly correlated with the number of dry days,and the correlation coefficient was above 0.9.The treatment with water retention agent 10 g had the best effect on the soil water content.The effect of water-retaining agent on the regulation of soil moisture content is limited.In the later period,the water retention function is lost beyond its water retention performance.2.The effects of different water-saving measures on soil and seedling were treated by soil preparation method > covering method > water retaining agent.Among them,land preparation,mulching and water-retaining agent treatment have effects on soil and seedlings from the aspects of increasing rainwater harvesting area,reducing soil surface water evaporation,playing a certain degree of water-retaining performance under drought stress and improving seedling resistance.Compared with the control,watersaving treatment can improve the survival rate and biomass accumulation of seedlings,maintain the leaf water potential at a higher level,promote the growth of plant height and ground diameter,etc.,and have more complex effects on lateral branches and lateral roots.Different seedlings have different performances due to their biological characteristics.3.Four kinds of seedlings have the best comprehensive supporting water-saving measures:pinus tabulaeformis,fructus penaeformis and populus elliformis carry out runoff collection and land preparation,adopt water collecting tray to cover and treat with 40g water-retaining agent with the best effect;The male plant of qingyang had the best effect of collecting runoff to prepare the land,using plastic film cover and treating with 40g water-retaining agent.
