Study On The Introduction And Cultivation Technology Of Lavender In The Hilly Area Of South Hebei Province

Literature review and field investigation were uesd in this paper,by Introducing7 lavender varieties from domestic and abroad,observing and measuring its external morphological characteristics and survival rate,determinate its essential oils to select suitable varieties for planting in southern hebei hilly area,and the research of cutting propagation techniques,different cultivation methods,different fertilization rates,different watering times and related cultivation techniques of these select varieties were studied,the result of the research are as follows:By investigating the growth of lavender plants and the morphological characteristics of its flowers,it can be concluded that Lavender angustifolia and White flower lavender are most suitable for planting in southern hebei hilly areas,then are Lavandula dentata,Lavandula latifolia ViH and Australian Lavender.Lavender Vera and Lavendula pinnata are obviously not suit for planting in southern hebei hilly area compared to other lavender varieties.Through the study of the survival rate of lavender,the results showed that the Lavender angustifolia has the heighest cutting survival rate,reaching 96.7%,so it's the best choice for cuttings in autumn in southern hebei hilly area.The cutting conditions are about 10-15 cm in length,2-3 mm in diameter,and the color is half-red,half-green,or all-red,and the cutting effect is best treated with 20% naphthaleneacetic acid 250 times.According to the test of the content of lavender essential oil determination,it can be found that the content of lavender is higher in the autumn than in the spring.Lavender has the highest extraction rate of essential oils during the flowering period,and it is recommended to harvest the lavenders during it's blooming period.According to the research of lavender field cultivation research,it is advisable for lavender to use 1000 kg of organic fertilizer before the preparation of the acres,and the production of flowes is the highest.Topdressing once during the growth period,the lavender with a topdressing amount of 12.5 kg has the fastest growth,and the plant height also get the hightest growth.The cultivation method studies showed that ridge cultivation is conductive to lavender growth and increase it's production;watering once a month during the growth process is conductive to lavender growth and increase it's production.Lavender is resistant to drought.Excessive watering can easily cause lavender root diying,affecting the prouction.
