The secondary vocational colleges of agriculture and forestry in China play an important role in the cultivation of landscape practitioners.At present,there are some problems in the teaching of landscape specialty in most secondary vocational colleges,such as students' low enthusiasm for learning and poor teaching effect.In order to improve students' professional ability,it is necessary to innovate teaching mode and strengthen practical operation training.The course of "prevention and control of plant diseases and insect pests" is the main course for the students of secondary vocational school,which has strong practicality and operability.In this paper,the project teaching is introduced into the course of "prevention and control of garden plant diseases and insect pests" to explore the application effect of the project teaching method in the course of "prevention and control of garden plant diseases and insect pests",and try to improve the existing problems in the current teaching of "prevention and control of garden plant diseases and insect pests" in secondary vocational school.Based on the theoretical research of project-based teaching method,through the analysis of the current teaching situation of the course of prevention and control of plant diseases and insect pests in secondary vocational schools,it is found that the teaching of the course of prevention and control of plant diseases and insect pests in secondary vocational schools has low learning interest and low enthusiasm for class;the traditional teaching method,teaching effect needs to be improved;the arrangement of students' practical training and practice teaching is unreasonable,etc The problems are analyzed from four aspects: society,school,teachers and students.The project teaching method is applied in the course of prevention and control of plant diseases and insect pests in landscape architecture.Firstly,the applicability and feasibility of the project teaching method in the course of prevention and control of plant diseases and insect pests in landscape architecture are analyzed from the perspective of course objectives,teachingcontents and teaching conditions.It is considered that the teaching design of the course permeates the teaching concept of the project,the teaching content of the course follows the working procedure of the project,and the project teaching is carried out The organization conforms to the characteristics of secondary vocational school students,and the curriculum teaching objectives meet the needs of enterprises.Then the teaching design of the project teaching is carried out.Through the investigation and interview,the case of "identification technology of garden plant disease" is selected.The project design includes four steps: project subject establishment,project goal and plan,project implementation,project display and evaluation.Finally,based on the case teaching design,the action research is carried out.Through two rounds of teaching action research,it is found that: the project teaching method embodies the application and practicability of the course "prevention and control of garden plant diseases and insect pests";the project teaching method improves students' interest in learning and cultivates students' comprehensive ability;the project teaching method is conducive to improving teachers' comprehensive quality and promoting the team of double teachers Construction;project teaching method to achieve secondary vocational training objectives,to meet the requirements of the society for talents.Some suggestions are put forward for the implementation of the project teaching method from hardware and software: to build a practical training base,to strengthen the investment in teaching facilities;to build a "double teacher" team of teachers;to guide teachers,to create a good classroom atmosphere;to stimulate students' interest,to attach importance to formative evaluation;to combine theory with practice,to cultivate students' professional ability.
