Investigation And Control Of Diseases And Insect Pests Of Turfgrass Plant In Liao Cheng Region

Based on LiaoCheng district,We carried out a census of lawn diseases, insect pests and weeds,summarized the problems which existed in the occurrence and control,analyzed the tendency,studied the main species' activity regularity and Integrated Management.There are 20 typical diseases,including fungus disease,bacterial disease, virus diease mycoplasma-like organism disease and roundworm disease.There are 55 species of phytophagous insects and detrimental animals,belong to Lepidoptera,Coleoptera,Homoptera,rthoptera,Hemiptera,Thysanoptera,etc. More than 20 pecies are the disaster categories in native area,such as Loxostege sticticalis L.,Nomophila noctuella Schif.et Denis,Trigonotylus ruficornis Geoffroy,Laodelphax striatellus FallYn,Cicadellidae Jassidae,Thrips tabaci L.,Hymenia recurvalis,Fabricius,Lamproseama indicata Fabricius,Miridae,Cicadella varidis Agrotis segetum et SchiffermüL.,Denis ller and grub etc,which can cause damages to grass lawn or white Clover,or both of them.There were totally 52 species weeds,belonging to 21 families.Cyperaceae,Gramineae,Compositae and Leguminosae were dominant and harmful turf weeds.Among of them predominance weeds are Digitaria sanguinalis(L.) Scop,Portulaca oleracea L.ac,Setaria virdis(L.) Beauv and so on.The author also studied lawn dieases,insect pests and weeds' distribution and some of the disaster categories'population fluctuation.In the same area there were different dominant species in different years or seasons.Then according to their occurrence,the author carried out some control measures, for example,plant quarantine,physical & mechnical control,chemical control and biological control should be carried out.Ecological principles to control garden plant diseases and insect pests should also be taken into consideration.
