Tomato(Solanum Lycopersicum L.)plays an important role in vegetable production in China.In recent years,China has become the largest tomato producers and consumers country in the world.Tomato production has an important way to increase income and earn foreign exchange through export for farmers.Therefore,in this study,32 tomato varieties(20 common tomato varieties and 12 cherry tomato varieties)were used as test materials under the condition of sunlight greenhouse in early spring in Beijing Xiao Tang Shan.We compared and analyzed the phenological period,plant characters,fruit characters,nutritional quality,flavor,yield and disease resistance of 32 tomato varieties to provide theoretical basis for cultivation and breeding of new tomato varieties with good comprehensive performance and popularization value.Our main results were listed as following:1.Among the 20 common tomatoes tested,we found that the F-4(Baili),F-12(TLR-04),F-5(Ruifen 882)and F-18(16413)were more suitable for early spring cultivation in solar greenhouse.F-4(Baili)with highest comprehensive evaluation value of 0.698.The plant grew vigorously in the field,matured early,the fruit was medium(average weight of single fruit was 118g),the fruit was round in shape,the skin was thick,the content of soluble solid was 6.62%,the ratio of sugar and acid was high(8.32),high yield per mu(7949.67 kg)and moderate disease resistance which suitable for extension of cultivation.In addition,F-12(TLR-04)has medium fruit(125.45 g),thin skin,high yield per mu(8753.11 kg)and strong disease resistance,F-5(Ruifen 882)has highest fruit setting rate(100%),large fruit(average fruit weight 229.84 g)and high yield per mu(9047.11 kg),F-18(16413)has flat fruit shape and thick flesh(1.11 cm),vitamin C content was high(16.23 mg / 100g)and strong disease resistance.2.Among the 12 cherry tomatoes tested,our results indicated that the M-9(TMR-05)had the highest comprehensive evaluation value(0.612).The plant has strong growth potential,long and round fruit shape,moderate fruit hardness,soluble solid content 8.5%,soluble sugar content up to 5.11%,good flavor quality,high yield and good disease resistance.Variety M-10(TMY-01)had a comprehensive evaluation value of 0.503.Although the yield was not as high as that of Control M-1(Millennium),the content of soluble solids in fruit was 9.0%,the soluble sugar content was high(4.97%),especially the fruit color was orange,the fruit shape was good(Takamaro)and the fruit setting rate was high(86%)which can also be used as a special variety grow in Beijing area.
