| ObjectiveIn this study, the lymphatic drainage and emotional nursing were both used to cure the the upper limb lymphedema of the breast cancer patients after modified radical mastectomy.Through scoring the function of upper limb, quality of life and depressive states,we will evaluate the impact of lymphatic drainage combined with emotional nursing and lymphatic drainage on the upper limb lymphedema, ipsilateral range of motion, functional assessment of cancer therapy-breast,psychological states and cancer related fatigue of the breast cancer patients after modified radical mastectomy. This study will provide scientific evidence for the rehabilitation nursing of the upper limb lymphedema.Methods84 breast cancer patients after modified radical mastectomy in a top three hospital in Wuhan city from April 2016 to Dec 2016 were used as our study models.Using the table for clinic information of patients with breast cancer by radiotherapy,we will collect the information for ill age, marital status, bearing status, education level, career.family malignant tumour, past history and treatment modality.Using random number table methods, the breast cancer patients(84 patients)were divided into three groups:Control group(28 patients),Treatment Group 1(29 patients)and Treatment Group II(27 patients). All the breast cancer patients were treated as following methods:Control group(Fitness exercise),Treatment Group I(Lymphatic drainage),and Treatment Group Ⅱ:Lymphatic drainage combined with emotional nursing. After three months treatment, the scores for the clinic information of the patients including general information, quality of life, anxiety, depression and cancer related fatigue were all put into the computer.Descriptive analysis method was used to calculate the frequency distribution and the focus trend of frequent.Measurement data was displayed as x±s.Both t test and the Wilcoxon Matched-Pairs Signed-Ranks Test were used to comparative the effectiveness before and after treatment.Comparison among groups were analyzed by chi-square test.Baseline comparison test level was a=0.10,and two-group effects comparison test level was a=0.05.Results(1)84 patients were used in this study.Compared to the control group, the treatment group 1(lymphatic drainage)and the treatment group 2(lymphatic drainage combined with emotional nursing)could both significantly perfect the value of upper limb lymphedema, ipsilateral range of motion, quality of life, anxiety, depression and cancer related fatigue of the breast cancer patients after modified radical mastectomy(P<0.05).(2)After three months treatment, the lymphatic drainage could significantly reduce the value of upper limb lymphedema, and improve the ipsilateral range of motion of the patients(P<0.05),but it could not significantly improve the quality of life(P>0.05).(3)The lymphatic drainage combined with emotional nursing could significantly reduce the upper limb lymphedema and improve the ipsilateral range of motion, quality of life, anxiety, depression and cancer related fatigue of the breast cancer patients after modified radical mastectomy(P<0.05).ConclusionsThese results demonstrated that the lymphatic drainage combined with emotional nursing and lymphatic drainage could both significantly reduce the value of the upper limb lymphedema, and improve the ipsilateral range of motion.Furthermore, the lymphatic drainage combined with emotional nursing could also improve the quality of life and psychological states of breast cancer patients. |
