| Objective We are going to investigate the relationship between serum leptin level and the recurrence of cerebral infarction in patients with hypertension,and then explore the affection of leptin on the recurrence of cerebral infarction in patients with hypertension.Methods Body mass index(BMI),blood pressure,total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-c),homocysteine(HCY),uric acid(UA),glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c),fasting blood glucose(FPG),2 hours postprandial blood sugar(2hPBG)of 38 patients with EH(EH group),41 patients with EH and suffered CI(CI group)once,77 patients with EH and suffered recurrent CI once within 36 months from the first CI(rCI group)were recorded.Patients in rCI group were divided into two groups on whether CI recurrented within(early rCI group)or beyond 12 months(late rCI groups).The corresponding statistical methods were used to analyze the difference of abnormal metabolic factors;the correlation between abnormal metabolic factors,metabolism syndrome and the onset of cerebral infarction,the recurrence of cerebral infarction.Results HCY,HbA1 c,FPG,2hPBG,leptin and high SBP level have statistical difference in three groups(P<0.05).HCY,Hb A1 c,FPG,2hPBG,leptin and high SBP level were positively related with recurrent CI,and BP and Leptin levels were significantly positively correlated with recurrence of cerebral infarction(r=0.46,0.471,P < 0.01).According to whether CI recurrented within or beyond 18 months,patients in rCI group were divided into two groups,there were no statistical difference in the observation indexes except for leptin level.According to the times of cerebral infarction,EH group,CI group and rCI group were divided as dependent variables,and HSBP,HCY,FPG,HbA1 c and Leptin were analyzed by ordinal regression analysis.The results showed that Leptin and BP were included in the regression equation.Conclusion The levels of HSBP,HbA1 c,FPG,2hPBG and leptin in rCI group are higher and related to the recurrence of cerebral infarction in hypertensive patients.Leptin has a close relationship with the recurrence of cerebral infarction,suggesting that leptin may affect the occurrence of cerebral infarction in hypertensive patients.The detection of serum leptin level may be predictive for the recurrence of cerebral infarction in hypertensive patients. |
