Objective:1.To understand the status about role stress,sense of coherence organizational commitment of male nurse.2.To understand the influencing factors about role stress,sense of coherence,organizational commitment of male nurse.3.To understand the relationship among the role stress,sense of coherence and organizational commitment of male nurses.Methods:This study adopts the method of random sampling to select 648 subje cts at tertiary Hospitals in Changsha in Human province,which collect s 597 valid questionnaires finally.The measuring tools of this investigati on include Role stress Scale,Sense of Coherence Scale,Organizatio n Comittment Scale.The SPSS 18.0 statistical software is used to analyz e and process the data,statistical methods include descriptive statistics a nalysis,Two independent samplet test,variance analysis,chi-square t est,pearson correlation analysis,linear regression analysis,etc.Results:1.The total score of role stress of male nurses is(40.89±8.19).The dimension score of role conflict,role ambiguity is(25.49±8.99)、(15.4±5.41)respectively.The total score of role stress of female nurses is(36.86±8.44).The dimension score of role conflict,role ambiguity is(23.32±7.8).(13.54±4.96)respectively.Male nurses had higher pressure scores than female nurses,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The years of working,the title,work satisfaction show significant differences on role stress of male nurses by multiple-factor analysis,while the years of working,education background,work satisfaction show significant differences on role stress of female nurses2.The total score of sense of coherence of male nurses is(56.65±8.06).The dimension score of comprehensive ability,ability to process or manage,sense of worth is(21.77±3.34))、(17.72±2.91)、(17.17±2.82)respectively.The total score of sense of coherence of female nurses is(54.57±7.86).The dimension score of comprehensive ability,ability to process or manage,sense of worth is(21.02±3.21).(16.89±2.69)、(16.66±2.98)respectively.Male nurses had higher pressure scores than female nurses,and the difference was statistically sigcnificant(P<0.05).The education background,post show significant differences on sense of coherence of male nurse by multiple-factor analysis,while the title.work satisfaction.education background.work characteristics show significant differences on sense of coherence of female nurse.3.The total score of organizational commitment of male nurses is(69.14±11.59).The dimension score of ideal commitment,normative commitme1nt,emotional commitment,economic commitment,opportunity commitment is(13.58±3.07).(13.49±2.55).(14.49±2.99)、(14.17±2.67).(16.24±2.95)respectively.The total score of organizational commitment of female nurses is(72.27±11.39).The dimension score of ideal commitment,normative commitment,emotional commitment,economic commitment,opportunity commitment is(15.01 ±2.91)、(14.55±2.69)、(14.15±2.78)、(16.63±3.44)、(14.75±2.69)respectively.Male nurses had higher pressure scores than female nurses,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The night shift time per week,promotion opportunity,the education background show significant differences on organizational commitment of male nurse by multiple-factor analysis,while the work satisfaction、the years of working show significant differences on organizational commitment of female nurses.4.Pearson correlation analysis results show that male nurses’organizational commitment negatively correlated with the total score of the role stress(r=0.232),and the organizational commitment positively correlated with the total score of the sense of coherence(r=0.460);Multivariate linear regression analysis of male nurses’ role stress,sense of coherence and organizational commitment show that role stress and sense of coherence which explain the organizational commitment 21.9%of the variance,and three factors of role conflict,perceived value,understanding of the nurse show a greater influence on the organizational commitment(P<0.05).,The organizational commitment of female nurses negatively correlated with the total score of the role stress(r=-0.256),and the organizational commitment positively correlated with the total score of the sense of coherence(r=0.561).Multivariate linear regression analysis of female nurses’ role stress,sense of coherence and organizational commitment show that role stress and sense of coherence which explain the organizational commitment 38.1%of the variance,and three factors of role conflict,role ambiguity and understanding of the nurse show a greater influence on the organizational commitment(P<0.05);Conclusion:1.Male nurses had a moderate degree of pressure,significantly higher than female nurses.The:influencing factors were the working years,job title and job satisfaction.2.The male nurses’ sense of congruity was at a moderate level,higher than female nurses,and its influencing factors were age,working life,employment,j’ob satisfaction,degree,position and title.3.The male nurses’ organization committed to a moderate level,but lower than female nurses,and its influencing factors mainly include week shift,promotion opportunity and title.4.The organizational commitment and role stress of male nurse has negative correlation,the organizational commitment and sense of coherence of male nurse has positive correlation.
