Objective: To research the association between the polymorphism of FUT2 gene rs1047781 and rs601338 and FUT3 gene rs3745635 and rs28362459 and the susceptibility to inflammatory bowel disease of Zhuang population in Guangxi.Method:Intestinal mucosal tissues of 113 Zhuang(41 CD and 72UC)and 120 Han(42 CD and 78 UC)unrelated patients with IBD and 106 Zhuang and 119 Han unrelated healthy controls were collected from January 2014 to October 2017.DNA was extracted from intestinal mucosa in each group.FUT2 gene rs1047781 and rs601338 and FUT3 gene rs3745635 and rs28362459 were amplified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR).The fragment of PCR product was analyzed by DNA sequencing. Results: The genotype frequency and allele frequency of FUT2 gene rs1047781 polymorphism in Zhuang and Han patients UC group were significantly different from the controls(P<0.05).The genotype frequency and allele frequency of FUT3 gene rs3745635 polymorphism in UC and CD group of Zhuang patients were were significantly different from the controls(P<0.05).Genotype frequency and allele frequency of FUT2 gene rs1047781 and rs601338 and FUT3 gene rs3745635 and rs28362459 in IBD,UCand CD group in Zhuang and Han patients were no significantly difference. Conclusion: FUT2 gene rs1047781 was associated with susceptibility to UC of Zhuang population in Guangxi.FUT3 gene rs3745635 was associated with susceptibility to UC and CD in Zhuang population in Guangxi. The polymorphisms of FUT2 gene rs601338 and FUT3 gene rs28362459 were not associated with the susceptibility to IBD of Zhuang population in Guangxi.Polymorphisms of FUT2 gene rs1047781 and FUT3 gene rs3745635 may influence the development of IBD in Guangxi Zhuang population.
