Objective:To investigate the effect of left ventricular remodeling on survival time and prognosis in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy(DC M).Method:Total of 122 patients with DCM in Nanning second People's Hospital were selected,and all patients were hospitalized with routine tr ansthoracic color Doppler echocardiography to measure left ventricular eje ction fraction(LVEF)and fractional shortening(FS)as left ventricular sys tolic function index.The left ventricular end diastolic sphericity index was measured by long-axis length divided by the short-axis length(sphericity index =long axis length/short axis length)from apical four chamber view and the left ventricular end systolic dimension(LADS)and the left ven tricle end diastolic dimension(LVD)as the left ventricular remodeling ind ex.All DCM patients were followed up for 1-48 months,and were divided into death group and survival group according to the incidence of cardi ac death.Results:In the death group,SI,LVEF and FS levels were significant ly lower than the survival group,while the LADS and LVD levels were significantly higher than the survival group(both p<0.01),while SI was si gnificantly positively correlated with LVEF and FS(R =0.581 and 0.513),and LADS and LVD were significantly negatively correlated(R=-0.573 a nd 0.509)(p <0.01),and the indexes related to survival time were SI(b=1.378,p <0.05)and LADS(b=0.081,p <0.05).Conclusion:The left ventricular remodeling can be used as one of t he indexes to reflect the severity of heart failure in DCM patients,and S I and LADS have predictive value for the survival time and prognosis of DCM patients.
