Objective:This dissertation aims to investigate the value of ultrasonic prompt imaging technique in evaluating carotid artery pulse wave velocity of patients with coronary artery atherosclerosis.Method: The sample of this dissertation is a random selection of 42 patients who are suspiciously diagnosed as suffering coronary heart disease in the cardiology department of our hospital and prepare for Coronary angiography.The 42 patients consist of 22 male and 20 female,whose average age is 58.31 years old with both an upper and a lower bound of 15.48 years old.Before Coronary Angiography(CAG),vascular function indicators like BS-PWV?ES-PWV and structural indicators like IMT are detected by French Super Sonic Imagine Aixplorer which is a fully digitalized and colored Doppler ultrasound diagnostic equipment,characterized with prompt imaging technique.The main observed vessels for CAG are the trunk,the anterior descending brunch and the circumflex brunch of the left coronary artery,as well as right coronary artery.Based on the results of coronary angiography and Gensini scores,patients are divided into four groups.Group A is the normal group with 0 Gensini score and 7 observations,Group B is the lower score group with a Gensini score of no more than 20 and 14 observations,Group C is the Median score group with a Gensini score of 21 to 40 and 9 observations,and Group D is the higher score group with the Gensini score exceeding 40 points and 12 observations.Group B,C and D are named as abnormal coronary artery groups,and they are grouped to analyze the relationship of different pathological groups with the values of BS-PWV,ES-PWV and IMT of carotid artery.Results:1.There is no significant difference in age and sex between the normal coronary artery group and the abnormal coronary artery groups with a P-value more than 0.05.2.There is significant difference between normal coronary artery group and the abnormal coronary artery groups indicated by the bilateral BS-PWV,ES-PWV and IMT,with a P-value less than 0.05.3.Among the abnormal coronary artery groups,B group has the lowest value of the bilateral BS-PWV and ES-PWV,while Group C in the middle and Group D the highest.4.Comparing the indicator results of the left side of the carotid artery with the right side,there is a statistical significance in the vascular function indicators like BS-PWV,ES-PWV,while there is no statistical significance in structural indicators like IMT.Conclusion1.All the indicators including BS-PWV?ES-PWV and IMT have a certain predictive value for coronary artery disease2.Elastic parameters of common carotid artery measured by UF PWV technology are closely associated with the severity of coronary artery disease.3.The changes of vascular function indicators of common carotid artery(like BS-PWV and ES-PWV)are more associated with coronary artery atherosclerosis.4.UF PWV can be indirectly treated as an easy and non-invasive method of risk stratification for patients with coronary heart disease.
