Objective:Prostate cancer(PCa)is one of the malignant tumors with the highest incidence of genitourinary system in the world. Its mechanism of occurrence and development is not yet clear, but mainly related to race, age, lifestyle, social psychology, family Genetic related.Studies have found that IGF-1(IGF1)involved in a variety of cancers, such as prostate cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, osteosarcoma, occurrence and development of the process, inhibition of the expression of IGF1,has the inhibitory effect of occurrence and development of diseases such as prostate cancer. The treatment of prostate cancer includes surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and endocrine therapy.Radical prostatectomy and radiotherapy may be used for early-stage prostate cancer, whereas chemotherapy and endocrine therapy may be used for advanced-stage prostate cancer. To further explore the role of IGF-1 in prostate cancer diseases plays a crucial role in the future treatment of prostate cancer. In this study,mice(Hi-Myc mice)and human subjects were used to investigate the effects of IGF-1 on the growth of mouse and human prostate cancer. The results show that IGF-1 promotes the development of prostate cancer in mice and humans,so IGF-1 can be used as a new clinical indicator of prostate cancer to predict the high-risk population of cancer for early diagnosis.Method: 1.The serum IGF-1 value of 37 prostate cancer patients was detected by IMMULITE2000 system.2.The weight of the prostate tissue of wild-type mice,Hi-Myc mice and Hi-Myc mice injected with IGF-1 was measured and compared.3.The histopathological analysis of the prostate tissues of wild-type mice,Hi-Myc mice and Hi-Myc mice injected intraperitoneally with IGF-1 was performed by H E staining.4.The changes of PAcP activity and PSA content in Hi-Myc mice treated with intraperitoneal injection of saline group(X)and rhIGF-1 group(IGF-1)were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Result: 1.Serum IGF-1 levels are significantly elevated in patients with prostate cancer.2.Prostate tissue weighing results and pathological results showed that24-week-old Hi-Myc mice had morphological and histological changes of prostate tissue and increased weight of prostate tissue in mice, both of which confirmed that IGF-1 can promote the development of Hi-Myc mice prostate tumors.3.The results of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay showed that IGF-1 could increase the serum PAcP activity and PSA content in Hi-Myc mice. Conclusion:Serum IGF-1 levels increased in patients with prostate cancer.Elevated serum IGF-1 is closely related to prostate cancer.IGF-1 can cause cancer in Hi-Myc mice prostate.
