| Objective:To study the changes of hippocampus micro structures in simple adolescent obesity with DTI(Diffusion Tensor Imaging). Methods: 20 subjects of simple obesity in adolescents who met the inclusion criteria were collected as the experimental group, and 20 healthy normal weight volunteers were collected as control group. And then all subjects underwent conventional MRI scanning and DTI scanning. The values of the anisotropy(FA)and apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)of the Bilateral hippocampus head, body and tail were measured and analyzed by spss17.0 software. Results: The FA value of bilateral hippocampus head, body and tail in simple obesity group was significantly lower than that in control group(P < 0.05),and the ADC value of left hippocampus head and tail of simple obesity group was lower than that of control group, the difference between the two groups was significant(P < 0.05),the ADC value of the right hippocampus head and body of simple obesity group was lower than that of the control group(P < 0.05).The ADC of the left hippocampus body region of interest in simple obesity group was not significantly different from that of the control group(p > 0.05).Compared with the control group, the ADC of the right hippocampus caudal region of interest in simple obesity group was not significantly different from that of the control group(p > 0.05).Conclusion: DTI can be used to assess the integrity of white matter fiber micro structures in adolescent obese subjects. |
