Study On Current Situation And Control Strategy Of High-value Medical Consumables In Public Hospitals

Objective Through the data of high value medical consumables for patients in a public hospital in Tangshan the basic situation is known.Through investigating the use process and the regulatory organization of of the public hospital for high value medical consumables the supervision and regulatory loopholes in the process of use are figured out.Influencing factors of use and regulation of high value medical consumables are defined by interviewing and investigating with managers and doctors,patients’.Based on the empirical study of three parties and the results of field investigation,the problems of high value medical consumables in the process of use and supervision are analyzed.Finally,the paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the supervision of high value medical consumables,and coordinate the optimization,and gives the researchers at home and abroad for reference.Methods 1)Literature analysis method: this thesis collect and research medical supplies in recent years about the relevant laws and regulations,the national policies and status of home and abroad.2)Data analysis: this thesis analysis the date of the use of high value medical consumables in H hospital from 2014 to 2016.3)Fieldwork: Go deep into the management of high value medical consumables in H hospital and explore the management mode of high value medical consumables in H hospital.4)Interview method: this thesis select the part of the medical staff and management staff of H hospital as the interview objects.By interview the thesis studies the impact of the use factors of high value medical supplies from the perspective of medical personnel,the consumables supervision from the management point of view.5)Questionnaire: Through the questionnaire survey,the problems of selection methods and influencing factors of high value consumables are reflected from the patient level.Results The study of data shows that the range,quantity and amount of high value medical consumables are increasing year by year,which challenges management.By the field survey it is find that the use process of high value medical consumables in H hospital is divided into five parts.By visiting the administrative department related to H hospital,it is find that the hospital’s regulatory system for high value consumables is not perfect,such as there is non standard application process and network construction in the hospital.Interviews with managers,find that managers’ focus on high value consumables lies in detail management and quantitative metrics.The investigation of medical staff and patients finds some problems.None of the patients are told before using high value consumables.Patient selection of high value consumables is mainly dependent on the doctors.Conclusion At the hospital level,a multi-sector’s cooperation mechanism should be established.The supervision process of high value medical consumables should be refined,and the corresponding indicators should be quantified.The management of clinical application should be standardized.The patient informed should be strengthen before they use high value consumables.The correlation between medical staff and high value consumables income should be reduced.At the government level,information disclosure should be strengthened about consumable products.The reimbursement system should be unified.Integrated management should be strengthened.
