Objective:To investigate the correlation between serum gamma glutamyl transferase(GGT)level and acute stroke and living ability after stroke.Method:In this retrospective study,we selected 528 patients who were hospitalized in Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University during October 2016 to July 2017,including 264 cases of acute stroke,241 cases of asymptomatic lacunar cerebral infarction without history of stroke, and 23 cases of transient ischemic attack. The patients were divided into three groups by diagnosis, which were acute cerebral stroke group, asymptomatic lacunar cerebral infarction group, and transient ischemic group.Collected the risk factors of stroke, including hypertension, diabetes, smoking and atrial fibrillation.Get their biochemical indicators including serum GGT,fasting blood glucose, and glycosylated hemoglobin.Compare the risk factors between acute cerebral stroke group and non acute stroke group.Compare the risk factors between transient ischemic group and non acute stroke group.Divided the acute stroke group into 5 groups according to TOAST.Divided the acute stroke group into 4 groups according to OCSP type.Assessment the NIHSS score and Barthel index to acute stroke group for the first and the last day in hospital. All date are analyzed by SPSS 22.0 software. Our aim was to investigate the relationship between serum GGT level and acute stroke and living ability after stroke.Result:Acute stroke group serum GGT was significantly higher than that in non acute stroke group(TOAST 1type OR=1.01,95%CI:1.00~1.02,P=0.02;TOAST3 type OR=1.02,95%CI:1.01~1.04,P=0.01).There was no significantly different between the groups of living ability. Conclusion:GGT maybe is a risk factor of acute stroke. The serum GGT level of patients with non lacunar infarction is higher then that of lacunar infarction. There was no significant correlation between serum GGT level and life apoplexy score after stroke.
