Objective:Hydrogen proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy was used to determine the relative content of striatum metabolites in normal adults, and analyze the relationship between different metabolites and age, gender and side,Calculate the reference range of the normal value of each metabolite。Methods:Hydrogen proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy analysis was performed on the striatum of 120 healthy adults and divided into young group,middle-aged group, and old-aged group each by 40 cases.A conventional scan was performed using a Siemens Avanto 1.5T magnetic resonance apparatus.A fast spin sequence(Flair)axial T1-weighted image examination was performed using fast spin echo(FRFSE)axial T2-weighted images to exclude unknown brain lesions.Coronary and sagittal T1 weighted imaging of TSE sequence,Using triaxial positioning, the bilateral striatum was selected as the region of interest(16cm×16cm)on T1-weighted image, and the voxel size was 1cm×1cm×1.5cm,avoiding the skull, calcification,Structures such as fat, cerebrospinal fluid, and saturated bands are used to avoid the influence of surrounding tissues on the examination structure.Homogenization within the voxels and water suppression are all automatically performed by the scanning procedure.A 1H-MRS scan was performed using a Multi voxel imaging(MVS)3D-CSI(chemical shift image)sequence(TR=1500 ms,TE=135 ms).Baseline correction and phase correction were performed using the random program after the scan.Using the workstation’s own software to process the test data, convert it into spectral images and values, and plot the N-acetylaspartic acid(NAA),choline complex(Cho)and creatine(Cr)metabolite waveforms,The ratios of NAA/Cr,NAA/Cho,NAA/(Cho+Cr),Cho/Cr and Cho/NAA were calculated. The metabolite ratios were compared between groups and age-related analysis. Results:The ratio of metabolites in striatum of normal adults is not related to the bilateral and sex differences, but it is related to age.Among them,NAA/Cho,NA A/Cr and NAA/(Cho+Cr)decreased with age and negatively correlated,Cho/Cr and Cho/NAA increase with age and become positive correlation. The 95%reference r ange for the ratio of metabolites in all age groups as follows,Youth groups NAA/Cr,NAA/Cho,NAA/(Cho+Cr),Cho/Cr,Cho/NAA are(1.2671.711),(1.0471.583),(0.5540.942),(0.6561.341),(0.7111.251);The middle age group NAA/Cr,NAA/Cho,NAA/(Cho+Cr),Cho/Cr,Cho/NAA are(1.0951.420),(0.8221.254),(0.4610.721),(0.6861.467),(0.8051.332);The elderly group NAA/Cr,NAA/Cho,NAA/(Cho+Cr),Cho/Cr,Cho/NAA are(0.6121.048),(0.6190.998),(0.3870.667),(0.9211.572),(0.9681.842).age-related analysis and regression analysis:because age differences wi ll lead to differences in the ratio of metabolites in hippocampus, different age gro ups and appeal to the ratio of metabolites in the first regression analysis, the resul ts as shown in the figure NAA/Cr(r=-0.940),CHO/Cr(r=0.805),C HO/NAA(r=0.944),NAA/(CHO+Cr)(r=-0.793),NAA/CHO(r=-0.959).The regression analysis equation is as follows:NAA/Cho=-0.012AG E+1.732;NAA/Cr=-0.013AGE+1.836;NAA/(Cho+Cr)=-0.006AGE+0.956;Cho/C r=0.002AGE+1.067.Conclusion:Hydrogen proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy can non-invasively reflect changes in the content of striatum metabolites in normal people with age, providing an objective basis for the early diagnosis of striatum.By measuring the changes in the content of some metabolites in the striatum,it can provide a certain objective basis for clinical evaluation of the results of hydrogen proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy in normal adults and patients.
