Objective:To investigate the influences of Narrow-band ultraviolet B(NB-UVB)on the levels of YKL-40 and vaspin in peripheral blood of patients with psoriasis vulgaris. To study the roles of YKL-40 and vaspin in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.Methods:40 cases of patients withacute psoriasis vulgaris as the treatment group were exposed to NB-UVB irradiation,3 times per week for 8 weeks. While 30 cases of healthy people as a control group.ELISA was performed to detect the expression of YKL-40 and vaspin in Peripheral blood of the treatment group before and after irradiation and also the control group. Results:The Psoriasis area and severity index(PASI)of 40 cases of patients with acute psoriasis vulgaris after NB-UVB irradiation was lower than that before NB-UVB irradiation(3.26 ± 1.24)vs.(10.47 ± 3.42),t = 17.55,P < 0.05),and the difference was statistically. The level of YKL-40 in the untreated patients was significantly higher than that in the healthy controls(37.14±6.55 ug/L,vs.28.13 ± 2.57 ug/L,t=3.48,P<0.05).The level of YKL-40 in the patients after NB-UVB irradiation was significantly lower than that in the patients in acute stage(29.05±6.54ug/L,vs.37.14±6.55 ug/L,t=20.5,P<0.05),have no statistical difference with the healthy controls.Conversely, the level vaspin in the untreated patients was significantly lower than that in the healthy controls(0.49± 0.123)ug/L vs.(0.74 ± 0.16)ug/Lt=6.84,P<0.05).The level of vaspin was significantly increased in the patients after NB-UVB irradiation compared with the untreated patients(0.77±0.13)ug/L vs.(0.49± 0.123)ug/L,t=8.33,P<0.05)have no statistical difference with the healthy controls. The levels of YKL-40 in peripheral blood of Untreated patients with psoriasis vulgaris were positively correlated with the Psoriasis area and severity index(PASI),the levels of vaspinin peripheral blood of Untreated patients with psoriasis vulgaris were negatively correlated with the Psoriasis area and severity index(PASI).The level of vaspin in peripheral blood of Untreated patients with acute psoriasis vulgaris was also negatively correlated with the content of YKL-40.Conclusions:NB-UVB irradiation can reduce the levels of YKL-40 in peripheral blood of patients with psoriasis vulgaris.NB-UVB irradiation can increase the levels of vaspinin peripheral blood of patients with psoriasis vulgaris.NB-UVB radiation may exert a therapeutic effect on psoriasis vulgaris by modulating levels of YKL-40 and vaspin in peripheral blood of patients.Significance: It provides valuable theoretical reference for the treatment of psoriasis with NB-UVB irradiation, and provides some new ideas for the pathogenesis of psoriasis.
