Purpose:The aim of this study is to compare the efficacy of acupuncture combined with abdominal massage with conventional western medicine(Macrogol 4000 powder for oral solution)in the treatment of poststroke constipation of Qi Deficiency,and evaluate the difference of efficacy between the two treatments.To explore the clinical value of acupuncture combined with abdominal massage for poststroke constipation and provide a better TCM treatment for clinical treatment.Method:The 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,and there were 30 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated by acupuncture combined with abdominal massage,and the control group was treated with western medicine Macrogol 4000 powder for oral solution.Both two groups were treated once/day,5 times for 1 course of treatment,2days of rest between courses,and there are three courses of treatment.The evaluation content of the experiment includes the symptoms of constipation,the first time of defecation,the syndrome of TCM syndrome and the integral of curative effect.During the treatment,the data were recorded,analyzed and analyzed,and the clinical efficacy and safety of the treatment group and the control group were compared.Result:1.The baseline of the treatment group and the control group was consistent and comparable before treatment.2.The two groups were compared with the clinical symptoms in the group before and after treatment.After treatment,the scores and total points of the symptoms of constipation were significantly decreased(P<0.01).The total score of clinical symptoms in two groups was compared and analyzed after treatment,and the difference have a notable statistical significance(P<0.01).It means that the symptoms of constipation in the treatment group and the control group were improved,and theimprovement of treatment group was significant.3.The symptom scores of each group were compared between the treatment group and the control group after treatment.The difference was statistically significant in defecation interval time and the speed of defecation(P<0.01);There was no statistically significant difference in defecation,difficulty in fecal character,difficulty of defecation,desire to defecate,and concomitant symptoms(P>0.05).It showed that the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in improving the defecation interval time and the speed of defecation after stroke.4.There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in first defecation time after treatment(P<0.05).It is indicated that acupuncture and abdominal massage can promote rapid defecation.5.Compared the scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups before and after treatment.The difference in the treatment group was statistically significant.6.At the end of the course,the effective rate of treatment group was 89.7%,and the control group was 82.1%.7.The safety of treatment group was better than that of control group.The compliance of the two groups was good,and there was no statistical difference between the treatment group and the control group.Conclusion:1.Using acupuncture combined with abdominal massage to treat poststroke constipation of Qi Deficiency can effectively improve the symptoms of constipation,especially in first defecation time,the defecation interval time and the speed of defecation.Acupuncture combined with abdominal massage is effective in improving TCM syndromes of patients with poststroke constipation.2.Acupuncture combined with massage therapy has less adverse reactions,and it is definitely worth promoting clinical treatment.
