Objective:To analyze the data of target location of patients with primary Parkinson's disease(PD)in the past subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation(STN-DBS),so as to establish Chinese own database. The reference value of the target(STN sensory motor area)was calculated to help locate the subthalamic nucleus sensory motor area and implant the electrode in STN-DBS.Methods: The data of 66 patients with Parkinson's disease who underwent surgical treatment of bilateral STN-DBS at the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from November 2014 to December 2016 were analyzed.Among these patients,29 were male and 37 were female;age ranged from 44 to 67 years, with an average of 61.88 ± 7.71 years;duration ranged from 3 to 24 years, with an average of 9.85 ± 4.57 years. To compare the differences in the location of STN sensory motor area between different sexes, age groups and gender, and to find out the location reference value of STN sensory motor area. Results: There was no significant difference in the X,Y,Z values of the coordinates of the left and right STN sensory motor area between the two groups(P> 0.05).In the sex group, the left X value, the right X value and the right Z value was significant difference between male and female patients(P <0.05).STN sensory area on both sides of male patients was more lateral than female patients(left male X = 13.42±0.78 mm,female X? = 12.70±0.89mm;right male X=13.32±0.80 mm,female X?=12.46±0.86mm),and right STN sensory motor area of males was lower than that of females(male Z?=2.35±1.63 mm,female Z?=1.67±0.79mm);in the age group, between the non-elderly group(age <60 years)and the elderly group(age?60 years)on both sides of the X value,Y value,Z value No significant difference(P> 0.05).Because of the significant difference between gender groups, the 95% confidence interval method of mean was used to calculate the target location reference value of STN sensory motor area of men and women. The reference value of STN sensory motor area of male was as follows: left: X=13.421±0.295 mm,Y=4.821±0.331 mm,Z=2.052±0.62 mm.Right: X'=13.317±0.305 mm,Y'= 4.907±0.318 mm,Z'=2.348±0.619 mm.The reference values for the target area of STN sensory motor area of female STN are: left side: X=12.697±0.298 mm,Y=5.005±0.26 mm,Z=1.67±0.213 mm.Right:X'=12.459±0.286 mm,Y'= 5.013±0.268 mm,Z'=1.668±0.262 mm.Conclusions: There was no significant difference in the location of sensory motor area between the left and right sides of the STN.Similarly, the location of the sensory motor area of STN in the non-elderly and elderly patients. In the gender group, bilateral STN sensory motor areas in men were more lateral than those in women, and right STN sensory motor areas in men were more biased toward the lower side than women.STN sensory motor area positioning reference value for clinical subthalamic nucleus sensory motor area positioning and STN-DBS intraoperative accurate implantation of electrodes as a reference.
