Objective: Systematic study and analysis of changes in overall sleep of Parkinson's patients treated by deep brain electrical stimulation.METHODS:From September 2014 to December 2017,he underwent surgery in the Department of Neurosurgery, and merged with 25 patients with Parkinson's disease.Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Parkinson's Sleep Scale(PDSS),Epworth Sleeping Scale(ESS),Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRSIII)before and 1 year after surgery The sleep disorder and sleep quality of the patient at night and during the day were evaluated.RESULTS:The total PSQI score(6.8±2.23)after DBS surgery was significantly lower than the preoperative PSQI score(12.52±2.75).There is a big difference before and after treatment.(P<0.05).The total score of PDSS(106.20 +22.45)also changed compared with that without surgery. The score was better than that before surgery(80.76 +30.19).It was obvious that there was a statistical difference between the two(P < 0.05).Subjective sleep quality, sleep time, restless legs syndrome, periodic physical activity disorder, nocturia, nocturnal mental status, and daytime in the sub-items of the PSQI and PDSS scales The differences before and after excessive sleep were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:DBS operation can effectively improve the sleep disorder of patients with PD,and is beneficial to the patient's condition control and recovery.
